Associate Product Manager

Overview

The Associate Product Manager defines and owns scope, features and performance standards for operator-facing integration systems and tools, and holds the bar on outcomes delivered against those specifications. They work closely with the development lead and senior stakeholders across Integration, Platform and Compliance, escalating decisions that sit above their level of authority.

This is an entry-level to early-career product role (typically 1–3 years' relevant experience), suited to someone building a product management career or moving in from an adjacent role such as technical coordination, business analysis, or technical services management (TSM). The role owns product definition, requirements and standards within its domain; it does not carry authority over company-wide product strategy, engineering delivery, or compliance decisions, which sit with more senior roles.

Responsibilities

1. Requirements, Specifications & Delivery Standards

• Define and own product scope, features and performance standards for operator-facing integration systems and tools, escalating decisions that sit above this role's authority to senior Integration stakeholders.
• Prepare product specifications, functional requirements, acceptance criteria and success metrics that give the development lead clear direction to build against, and hold the bar on outcomes delivered against those specifications — following through to confirm what is built meets the defined standard, not simply handing off and stepping back.
• Shape operator portal product direction with well-reasoned recommendations, escalating direction-setting decisions that sit above this role's authority to senior product or pillar leadership.

2. Compliance & Regulatory Input

• Support the identification of compliance and regulatory requirements across jurisdictions relevant to integration products, working with Compliance to ensure requirements are correctly reflected in specifications.
• Refer compliance interpretation or judgement calls to the appropriate compliance authority; this role is not the compliance decision-maker.

3. Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement

• Monitor the performance of operator-facing integration systems against defined standards, identifying gaps and driving improvements to close them.

4. Roadmap Ownership

• Maintain a clear, prioritised roadmap for operator-facing integration systems and tools, and keep stakeholders aligned on direction.

5. Cross-Functional Coordination

• Drive alignment across Integration, Platform and Compliance teams on defined requirements and open questions, including situations where ownership is shared or contested, escalating to senior stakeholders only where conflicts cannot be resolved at this level.
• Act as a day-to-day point of contact for requirements queries from the development lead and adjacent teams.

6. Operator Requirements & Feedback

• Actively surface operator requirements, validate priorities directly with operators, and communicate product decisions back to them.
• Contribute to lightweight business cases and product recommendations to support prioritisation decisions, under guidance from senior stakeholders.

What This Role Does Not Own

• Engineering delivery or sprint management — this sits with the development lead, though this role holds the bar on outcomes delivered against agreed specifications.
• Regulatory compliance decisions — this role defines requirements against compliance obligations but is not the compliance authority.
• Platform-level infrastructure decisions upstream of the integration layer.
• Company-wide product strategy or portfolio decisions beyond the integration domain — recommendations on matters above this role's authority are made for senior sign-off.

Qualifications

Essential:

• Around 1–3 years' experience in a product, technical coordination, business analysis, or TSM-adjacent role.
• Developing skills in requirements definition and functional specification writing.
• Good analytical skills, with the ability to interpret operator and stakeholder feedback.
• Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to work across functional boundaries.
• Familiarity with Agile ways of working.
• Proactive mindset with a sense of ownership over own workstreams.

Desirable:

• Exposure to iGaming, land-based casino, sportsbook, bingo or a related gaming environment.
• Familiarity with regulatory or compliance considerations in a multi-jurisdictional product context.
• Experience preparing materials for senior stakeholders.
