The Summary:

The Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of assigned projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards. The role provides direct oversight of project planning, execution, risk management and stakeholder coordination, while maintaining accountability for achieving agreed project objectives and successful handover.

Key Accountabilities

MANAGEMENT

  • Accountable for performance, cost and schedule of the specific asset for Delivery
  • Provide on-site leadership for project teams by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones.
  • Set and continually manage project and program expectations while delegating and managing deliverable with team members and stakeholders.
  • Deliver appropriate and effective communication.
  • Build, develop and cultivate internal and external relationships vital to the success of the Project.
  • Collaborate with the Operations and Client teams to ensure alignment of goals and sequence of handover.
  • Understand and accept accountability for the assigned project and provide the leadership and managerial direction to deliver upon the objectives.

COMMERCIAL

  • Responsible with the project Contracts Administrator to monitor costs and prepare, manage and direct actions to maintain cost targets.
  • Provide optimized solutions for procuring & delivering assets in accordance with Time Cost Quality metrics.
  • Assist in the preparation of estimates and detailed project plan for all phases of the project.
  • Participate and/or drive vendor selections and proposals for evaluation by appropriate key stakeholders.
  • Provide input and direction with regard to procurement of the construction works, to ensure that the scopes of work and bid packaging are coordinated to meet Project objectives.
  • Ensure all Contracts operate at maximum efficiency including robust contract administration, site management, safety, insurance and legal procedures or requirements and that all risks are limited
  • Ensure timely and accurate commercial reporting
  • Responsible, together with the project Contracts Administrator, for evaluating, recommending, and implementing change where necessary.

PROGRAMME

  • Develop and take ownership or the working programme in collaboration with the Development team.
  • Monitor the projects progress against programme milestones and implement delay recovery actions where necessary.
  • Manage project and program issues and risks to mitigate impact to baseline.
  • Develop and agree the contractor’s works programme, analyse the critical path and the project resource requirements.
  • Monitor project progress records for inclusion with overall project reporting and initiate measures for corrective actions if project falls behind the specified milestones and programme targets.
  • Identify programme delay issues in advance and prepare mitigation plans to recover delays.

REPORTING

  • Monitor and report on all aspects of the project including safety, environmental, commercial, contracts, relationships and progress to all internal stakeholders by effectively communicating the Project expectations in a timely and clear manner.
  • Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating across leadership.
  • Ensure that the key Project indicators (KPI) are monitored and evaluated with the contractors periodically.
  • Report on project success criteria results, metrics, test and deployment management activities.
  • · Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations to various audiences, including project team, and key stakeholders.

HEALTH & SAFETY

  • Oversee that the highest standards of health and safety are considered a priority through all stages of the Project.
  • Knowledge and exposure to the basic safety measures and housekeeping on site.
  • Never compromise on safety and lead by example

DESIGN

  • Input into design development especially with respect to buildability and cost.
  • Input into sustainable design criteria leading to implementation of design.
  • Drive design related programmes to ensure the overall development programmes are maintained.

QUALITY

  • Act as an internal quality control check for the project.
  • Manage ongoing quality control and participate in quality issue resolution.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

  • Possess broad knowledge of project management and appropriate delivery strategies within time, scope and budget and quality levels
  • Develop and manage all aspects of project and program engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks and issues
  • Participates as a member of the Project Team for evaluating the suitability of construction participants (Suppliers and Contractors) for employment within the project, so as to ensure engagement of the most reliable partners in terms of area expertise, commitment and access to necessary resources to complete the job as per quality standards.
  • Ensure effective management and development of the Project Delivery Team in terms of stakeholder relationships, cost & commercial parameters and people management such that best practice, integrity and legal compliance is consistently met.
  • Manage project scope and changes whilst ensuring time cost and quality metrics are properly managed in accordance with Stack requirements.
  • Continue professional development in order to keep abreast of emerging technologies, methods and best practices.
  • Maintain communication with industry contacts and companies across all potential supply-chain sectors.
  • Work with the Project Team to procure a true record of the completed project documentation. The receipt of this documentation will be required prior or in conjunction with any Completion Certificates.
  • Develop full scale Project Execution Plans, including Project budget, resource allocation and quality assurance.
  • Continue professional development in order to keep abreast of emerging technologies, methods and best practices.
  • Build a successful team of reports and collaborative partners
