Job Requirements Role/Job Title:
Business Analyst – Trade Finance
Job Purpose
To analyze, design, and enhance Trade Finance systems and processes by collaborating with business stakeholders, understanding functional requirements, driving solution delivery, and ensuring smooth system operations across TRRACS, FBTI, and related trade applications.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Analyze business processes, identify improvement opportunities, and recommend optimized solutions.
- Prepare BRDs, User Stories, and Functional Specifications based on business requirements.
- Perform requirement analysis, functional testing, SIT support, and provide UAT sign‑off.
- Manage and track Change Requests (CRs), enhancements, and project deliverables.
- Provide L2/L3 production support, resolve functional issues, and coordinate with technology teams.
- Conduct stakeholder communication, provide system demos, and lead show‑and‑tell sessions.
- Support integration requirements including APIs, file‑based systems, and DB linkages.
- Analyze CRs, validate FSDs, and resolve functional queries.
- Validate trade finance reports and handle problem tickets.
- Support integration with FBTI & DGFT.
- Review test cases and assist testing teams.
- Analyze and validate regulatory/ad‑hoc reports.
- Execute system configurations (e.g., MCLR, holiday master, tailoring).
- Develop and deploy trade advices via DTU tools.
- Perform reconciliation analysis and rectify mismatches.
- Provide L2/L3 functional support.
- Analyze regulatory module CRs and provide functional support.
- Participate as SME in internal audits.
- Provide necessary artifacts and track open audit items.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Mentor and guide junior Business Analysts.
- Contribute to process optimization and best‑practice documentation.
- Support enterprise-wide projects related to Trade Finance automation and enhancements.
- Collaborate on cross‑functional initiatives involving technology, compliance, and operations.
Key Success Metrics
- Timely delivery of CRs, BRDs, and functional specifications.
- Reduction in production issues and faster resolution TAT.
- Accuracy of testing cycles and defect‑free deployments.
- Stakeholder satisfaction and improved process efficiency.
- Compliance adherence and closure of audit observations.
Qualification
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Additional certifications in Trade Finance or Business Analysis (preferred).
Experience
- 4 + years of experience as a Business Analyst in Trade Finance domain.
- Hands‑on experience in TRRACS, FBTI, Trade Finance operations, testing lifecycles, and project implementation is preferred.
