Work Location - Auckland ONLY
We're looking for a talented individual for the data stewardship space for our core data assets. You'll be instrumental in working with business stakeholders to understand their challenges and leverage your expertise to create robust, scalable data solutions.
What you will do
- Translate analytical insights into tangible solutions, working closely with business stakeholders to implement improvements and streamline processes.
- Prioritize ingestion, analyze, understand, and prepare complex and novel data sources, seamlessly integrating them into project designs.
- Communicate with Influence, summarize, visualize, and present compelling data narratives to management and business users, making complex findings accessible and impactful.
- Tackle intricate analytical problems for internal stakeholders and external customers across diverse business domains.
- Clearly articulate the strategic importance and business impact of your findings, recommending appropriate courses of action. You'll champion the implementation of solutions and process improvements, highlighting the qualitative and quantitative value of your analysis.
- Collaborate closely with data governance and compliance professionals to ensure the proper and ethical use of Equifax data assets.
- Track and communicate progress back to the owners.
- Proactively leverage enterprise AI and automation tools to streamline data preparation, optimize complex SQL/Python queries, and accelerate time-to-insight.
What experience you need
- A Bachelor's degree in a STEM major or an equivalent discipline.
- 2+ years of experience in a related data analyst role, with a proven track record of delivering impactful results.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, BigQuery, R, Python, MS Excel / Google Sheets, Tableau, and Looker.
- Demonstrated experience working collaboratively within a team to produce descriptive and diagnostic analysis.
- Ability to partner effectively with non-technical stakeholders to explore new capabilities and data monetization opportunities.
- Demonstrated track record of utilizing AI productivity tools to increase personal technical output and problem-solving speed.
