Responsibilities

We are looking for a QA professional who goes beyond executing predefined test cases. The ideal candidate is curious, detail-oriented, and proactive, challenges requirements when needed, thinks deeply about risks and edge cases, and takes personal ownership of product quality. They approach software both as an end user and as a quality engineer, constantly looking for ways the system could fail and ensuring those scenarios are thoroughly tested before reaching customers.

Qualifications

  • Higher education degree in Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of professional experience as a QA Engineer in complex software products
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, software development lifecycle, and testing best practices
  • Proven experience in analyzing business and functional requirements, identifying gaps, ambiguities, inconsistencies, and potential risks before implementation
  • Hands-on experience designing comprehensive test strategies, test scenarios, and test cases, including positive, negative, boundary, exploratory, and edge-case testing
  • Ability to think critically from both the end-user and technical perspectives to ensure a high-quality user experience while validating business and technical requirements
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify hidden defects, unexpected behaviors, and corner cases that may impact product quality
  • Experience preparing and maintaining test documentation
  • Experience testing APIs, validating integrations, and performing database verification using SQL
  • Solid experience with client-server applications, backend and frontend testing, regression, integration, system, and usability testing
  • Experience applying risk-based testing techniques and independently determining test coverage based on product requirements and business impact
  • Ability to work autonomously, take ownership of quality-related decisions, and proactively drive issues to resolution
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured and investigative approach to defect analysis
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and using tools such as JIRA
  • High level of written and spoken English
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to challenge assumptions constructively and work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and stakeholders
  • Knowledge of test design techniques such as equivalence partitioning, boundary value analysis, decision tables, state transition testing, and pairwise testing
  • Experience reviewing requirements and participating in backlog refinement and product discovery activities
