ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Product Manager who operates as an individual contributor — someone who owns output, not just process. You will talk directly to clients, TMCs, and OTAs; understand issuing bank APIs and payment networks; navigate RBI and PCI-DSS compliance; and ship a live virtual card implementation end-to-end within 60 days.

Experience

4–8 years in fintech product management

Domain

Card issuance, payment systems, travel fintech

Working Style

IC — self-directed, owns research and delivery

Location

India (RBI/PPI compliance context required

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own end-to-end virtual card platform: issuance, spend controls, reconciliation, and settlement
  • Talk directly to clients, TMCs, and OTAs (TBO, Yatra) to understand current workflows and pain points
  • Understand and document issuing bank APIs — card creation, MCC controls, velocity limits, webhooks
  • Navigate Mastercard/Visa network rules, BIN sponsorship models, chargeback and settlement cycles
  • Study RBI PPI guidelines, PCI-DSS requirements, and global payment regulations relevant to travel card use cases
  • Analyse how existing OTA/TMC integrations issue virtual cards and produce a detailed replacement strategy document
  • Write the PRD and system architecture for Finkraft's virtual card platform covering API design, ledgering, and fraud integration
  • Select 2–3 pilot clients, define implementation scope, and drive sprint execution with the tech team
  • Personally run UAT with clients and own the go-live checklist

Requirements

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • 4–8 years in fintech PM, specifically in card or payment systems
  • Strong understanding of card networks, BIN sponsorship, authorization flows, and settlement cycles
  • Hands-on experience reading and working with issuing bank and payment gateway APIs
  • Familiarity with RBI PPI master directions, PCI-DSS, KYC/AML frameworks
  • Ability to produce detailed technical documents independently — PRD, system architecture, integration specs
  • Experience coordinating with engineering teams on sprint planning and delivery
  • Prior exposure to travel fintech (OTAs, TMCs, expense management) is a strong plus

WHAT MAKES THIS ROLE DIFFERENT

This is not a coordination role. You will be the primary driver of research, documentation, client engagement, and execution. Within 60 days, you will have produced a complete PRD and architecture document, and will have at least one client live on Finkraft's virtual card platform.
