Mō tēnei tūranga | About the opportunity
We're looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join our Master Data Management for Analytics (MDMfA) programme on a contract basis through to July 2027.
This role will play a key part in delivering initiatives that enable trusted, governed master data to support enterprise reporting, analytics, insights, and decision-making across the organisation. Working closely with business stakeholders, data teams, architects, and delivery partners, you'll help shape and deliver MDM use cases that improve data quality, consistency, and business outcomes.
You'll facilitate workshops, elicit and document business requirements, map business processes, define business rules, and support testing activities, while ensuring solutions align with both business needs and the broader MDM strategy.
This is a highly collaborative role requiring someone who can confidently engage stakeholders, navigate ambiguity, and bridge the gap between business objectives and enterprise data capabilities.
Mōu | About you
You're an experienced Business Analyst with a strong track record delivering data-focused initiatives within complex enterprise environments. You've worked on Master Data Management (MDM) programmes and understand the role that trusted master data plays in enabling high-quality analytics, reporting, governance, and business decision-making.
We're specifically looking for someone with experience in MDM for Analytics (MDMfA) or enterprise data programmes, rather than operational or transactional MDM environments.
You'll bring:
- Proven Business Analysis experience across complex programmes or projects.
- Experience supporting MDMfA or enterprise MDM initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills.
- Expertise in requirements elicitation, process mapping, and documentation.
- Experience defining business rules and supporting data quality, matching, deduplication, and survivorship activities.
- The ability to work effectively across business, data, architecture, and delivery teams.
- Strong communication skills, with the confidence to challenge thinking and influence outcomes where required.
Experience with platforms such as Profisee, Informatica MDM, Reltio, SAP MDG, IBM MDM or similar solutions will be highly regarded.
Most importantly, you'll be a curious and collaborative BA who understands how master data supports enterprise-wide analytics and can help translate business needs into practical, scalable data solutions.
