Role:
The Business Analyst serves as a liaison between business units, the Programming Team, Enterprise Service Delivery, and project stakeholders to ensure business needs are clearly understood, documented, scoped, and translated into actionable technical requirements.
This position develops and maintains a strong understanding of both frontline and support department processes and uses that operational knowledge to identify business requirements, process impacts, dependencies, exceptions, risks, and opportunities for improvement. The Business Analyst actively participates in project discovery, planning, and development meetings, asking detailed questions and facilitating discussions to ensure the Programming Team has the information necessary to design and develop effective solutions.
The Business Analyst assists with defining project scope, documenting current-state and future-state processes, developing functional requirements and acceptance criteria, coordinating user acceptance testing, and communicating project status, requirements, risks, dependencies, and outstanding decisions to project stakeholders.
Success in this role requires a combination of operational knowledge, analytical ability, communication skills, and technical aptitude. The position works collaboratively across Information Technology, Retail Delivery, Operations, Compliance, Risk Management, and other areas of the Credit Union to ensure technology solutions address business needs, support effective operational processes, and provide a positive experience for members and employees.
