Job Description Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for the day-to-day execution of GEV's allocated Scope of Work under a Consortium Agreement, ensuring engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning activities are delivered to schedule, budget, quality and HSE requirements. The Project Manager works under the direction of the Project Director and exchanges interface information directly with other Consortium Company's equivalent Project Manager at defined touchpoints, without holding authority over or accountability.

Job Description

What will you do :

  • Lead the successful execution of GE Vernova’s project scope across engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning, ensuring delivery against schedule, budget, quality, and contractual requirements.
  • Own project planning, cost control, forecasting, and schedule performance, proactively identifying risks and driving recovery actions when needed.
  • Manage key project interfaces and dependencies with consortium partners, ensuring effective exchange of technical and schedule information and timely escalation of risks or issues.
  • Oversee procurement and supply chain execution, including supplier performance, expediting, long-lead items, and import/customs activities.
  • Coordinate site installation, construction, testing, and commissioning activities, working closely with internal teams and consortium partners to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Drive strong quality and HSE performance, ensuring compliance with QA/QC standards, nonconformance processes, documentation requirements, and site safety expectations.
  • Provide clear and timely reporting on project progress, cost, schedule, risks, quality, and HSE to the Project Director.
  • Build strong collaboration across engineering, supply chain, site teams, subcontractors, and consortium partners to support successful project delivery.

What will you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in project execution within the EPC, infrastructure, power, or energy sectors.
  • Demonstrated project management capabilities, with strong planning, coordination, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Control Center software applications.
  • Strong ability to manage cross-functional teams and coordinate with customers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required to support business and project needs.
  • Fluency in both French and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Relevant sector project experience preferred
  • Professional working relationship-builder with other Consortium Company’s PM counterpart, within defined limits
  • Experience working on projects in Algeria or comparable North African markets preferred
  • Full compliance with company integrity policies and applicable anti-corruption/anti-bribery laws
  • PMP or equivalent certification desirable
  • Professional engineering qualification an advantage, relevant to GEV's technical scope.
