Hygiena’s proprietary diagnostic technologies enable customers to prevent illness and save lives, comply with regulations, protect products and brands, run businesses more effectively. Solutions are sold in a wide range of industries globally, but the core focus is food safety. Headquartered in Camarillo, California and with offices around the world, we are actively looking for talented individuals to help grow the business!

At Hygiena we believe:

  • In providing the highest quality products & service
  • Being a leader in innovation
  • Having a compelling desire to improve and win in the marketplace
  • In contributing positively not only in the workplace, but in our community and environment!

With rapid growth comes opportunity. We are looking for a Product Manager (Platform) to join our team. This is a full-time, exempt, remote role, but preferably based in Southern California.

About the Role:

The Product Manager (Platform) is responsible for turning Hygiena's portfolio of software applications, including SureTrend, SureKleanz, SureDoc and SureLab, into one connected system that customers experience as a single product. This role owns the platform roadmap end to end: unified sign-in, cross-app navigation, shared data and combined reporting, in-app cross-sell between products, and the integrations that connect our applications to CRM, ERP and billing systems.

The Product Manager (Platform) pairs strong UI/UX judgment with a clear understanding of how accounts, data and systems fit together behind the scenes. Our applications were built separately, and this person will make them feel as if they were designed together. Working cross-functionally with Engineering, UX, the other product managers, Sales, Marketing, Finance and Customer Success, the Product Manager is measured on customer adoption, cross-app usage and cross-sell revenue, not on tickets shipped.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and maintain the platform product roadmap and revenue objectives, prioritizing cross-app capabilities based on customer value, revenue impact, technical feasibility, and the needs of each product line.
  • Define the unified customer experience across applications, including single sign-on, cross-app navigation, account and site switching, and shared settings, partnering with UX design to deliver experiences that are simple, consistent, and intuitive.
  • Define the shared data model and integration requirements that let applications work together, including common customer, site, and user identities, roles and entitlements, and APIs and events, so that combined reporting and cross-app workflows are possible.
  • Own in-app cross-sell between products end to end: identify moments of customer need, define prompts and offers with Marketing, route leads to account owners, and run experiments to improve conversion.
  • Own integrations between the applications and Hygiena's commercial systems, including CRM, ERP (Microsoft Dynamics NAV), and billing (Stripe), so that Sales sees accurate customer and plan data and invoicing is timely and correct.
  • Lead the phased separation of applications from shared legacy architecture into standalone products, planning migrations that avoid disruption to customers' daily workflows.
  • Partner with Engineering in Azure DevOps for backlog refinement, sprint planning, and release coordination across platform workstreams.
  • Collaborate with the other product managers to set cross-app standards and agree on shared roadmap priorities; communicate platform strategy to leadership and enable Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field required. MBA or other advanced degree a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management for B2B SaaS software, including at least 2 years owning capabilities shared across multiple applications.
  • Demonstrated experience connecting multiple applications into a single system that customers experience as one product, including single sign-on, shared navigation, and cross-app workflows.
  • Strong UI/UX skills, with examples of experiences they shaped (such as navigation, onboarding, or account switching) and evidence of how those experiences improved usability or adoption.
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools (e.g., large language models, AI-assisted prototyping and design tools) to accelerate product work, including market and regulatory research, rapid prototyping, UX design, requirements definition, and documentation, with sound judgment on accuracy, data privacy, and compliance in a regulated environment.
  • Working knowledge of identity and access concepts, including single sign-on, OAuth and OpenID Connect, and identity providers such as Microsoft Entra ID, as well as multi-tenant account structures, roles, and entitlements.
  • Experience shipping against enterprise security and procurement requirements, such as SSO, security reviews, SOC 2-style controls, and audit trails.
  • Experience defining shared data models and API or event contracts between systems; able to read API specifications and work fluently with engineers on integration design.
  • Experience integrating software products with commercial systems, including CRM, ERP (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics NAV or Business Central), and billing platforms (e.g., Stripe), covering customer, plan, entitlement, and invoicing data flows.
  • Experience with product-led growth, including in-app upsell or cross-sell, experimentation, and conversion metrics.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum practices and tools such as Azure DevOps.

Salary Range:

$120,000 to $140,000 annually. Compensation may vary based on geographic location, market conditions, candidate qualifications, and experience.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong product sense and customer empathy; able to look at a clunky experience and articulate exactly how to make it simple.
  • Exceptional analytical skills; comfortable using product analytics and data to size opportunities and measure adoption and conversion.
  • Strong written communication skills; able to produce clear PRDs, integration requirements, product briefs, and release communications for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent verbal communication and executive presence; comfortable presenting to both engineering teams and non-technical executive stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to influence peer product managers and align multiple teams on shared standards and priorities without direct authority.
  • Strong judgment in balancing platform investment against near-term product and commercial priorities.
  • Proven ability to lead multiple workstreams with competing timelines in a fast-paced, Agile environment.
  • Collaborative leader with a customer-first mindset, strong ownership mentality, and a track record of cross-functional collaboration.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving clarity across cross-functional teams.
  • Proactive self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset.

Working Conditions:

  • Standard business hours, Monday through Friday, with flexibility for global stakeholder coordination and urgent customer or partner needs across time zones.
  • Remote work and available during normal business hours and occasional travel to Camarillo, CA for strategy meetings and team building.
  • Occasional travel for customer engagements, trade shows, and team meetings (estimated less than 10%).

Work Environment:

  • The work environment is typical office or administrative work. Work environment is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
