Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager / Project Manager with a degree in Architecture (B.Arch) or Civil Engineering (B.E. Civil) and 13-15 years of experience in the planning, design, execution, and management of large-scale residential, commercial, mixed-use, institutional, and industrial projects. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating project activities from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, quality standards, and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Management

  • Assist in the overall planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of construction projects.
  • Develop project schedules, resource allocation plans, and execution strategies.
  • Monitor project progress against established milestones and budgets.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and clients for seamless project delivery.
  • Track project risks and implement mitigation plans to ensure timely completion.

Design & Technical Coordination

  • Review architectural and civil drawings for accuracy, constructability, and compliance.
  • Coordinate with structural, MEP, landscape, and interior consultants.
  • Ensure design intent is maintained throughout project execution.
  • Resolve design and construction-related technical issues.
  • Conduct design reviews and value engineering exercises to optimize cost and quality.

Construction & Site Management

  • Supervise construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
  • Monitor contractor performance and productivity.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits.
  • Ensure work is executed according to project schedules and safety standards.
  • Review measurement sheets, contractor bills, and progress reports.

Stakeholder Management

  • Liaise with clients, architects, consultants, contractors, and government authorities.
  • Lead project review meetings and present progress updates to management.
  • Manage approvals, permits, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure effective communication among all project stakeholders.

Cost & Contract Management

  • Assist in budget preparation, cost estimation, and financial tracking.
  • Review BOQs, tender documents, and contract agreements.
  • Monitor project expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Support procurement planning and vendor management activities.
  • Evaluate change orders and variation claims.

Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with local building regulations, NBC, statutory approvals, and quality standards.
  • Implement quality assurance and quality control procedures.
  • Monitor compliance with safety regulations and environmental requirements.
  • Participate in project audits and compliance reviews.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture (B.Arch) or Civil Engineering (B.E./B.Tech Civil).
  • 13-15 years of relevant experience in construction project management, architecture, or civil engineering projects.
  • Proven experience managing residential, commercial, institutional, or mixed-use developments.
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, project lifecycle management, and design coordination.
