Summary

Guidepost is seeking a highly capable Security Project Manager to support our global data centre client in a full-time embedded role. Fully integrated into the client’s EMEA data centre security programme, the role provides project oversight for physical security and security technology initiatives, ensuring alignment with the client’s security standards.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical knowledge, excellent project management skills, and the ability to operate within a highly structured, high-performing global organisation, confidently overseeing multiple concurrent projects involving new security installations, renovations, and system upgrades.

Core Responsibilities

  • Act as the client’s security stakeholder and subject matter expert across multiple concurrent, large-scale data centre technical security implementation projects, providing oversight to third-party project teams and ensuring delivery aligns with client expectations and standards.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the client’s technical security standards and documentation, and ensure that projects comply with them. Assess non-compliance in live projects, report findings, and oversee rectification in line with client standards.
  • Oversee physical security and low-voltage system integration, commissioning, and quality control.
  • Conduct on site progress assessments, compliance reviews and observation
  • Monitor and drive progress across the project portfolio under your region in accordance with delivery team contracts
  • Centrally report on delays, non-conformances with the standards and compliant rectification solutions.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary third-party teams, including consultants, architects, engineers, and integrators, to achieve successful security project outcomes.
  • Proactively identify, manage, and mitigate projects risks, ensuring project issues are tracked, resolved, and documented.
  • Where required, develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and documentation, ensuring clear communication and accountability across stakeholders.
  • Partner with senior leadership to communicate strategic goals, operational plans, and project progress across the region.
  • Maintain exceptional standards of client engagement - serving as the primary point of contact, ensuring satisfaction, and supporting the long-term partnership.

Competencies

  • Project Management Excellence - Proven ability to lead complex technical projects from inception to completion.
  • Ability to interpret and apply technical security standards and documentation accurately.
  • Skilled at identifying client needs and delivering tailored, high-impact solutions.
  • Deep understanding of physical security systems, low-voltage infrastructure, and integration.
  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical information for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ethical Practice - Commitment to integrity, professionalism, and client confidentiality.

Required Experience

  • Six (6) – eight (8) years of relevant project management experience within the technical security industry and the application of these skills in the data centre vertical in EMEA.
  • Demonstrated success managing multi-site, multi-phase projects across complex stakeholder environments.
  • Data centre security experience a must.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Professional certifications such as CPP, PSP, Prince2 / PMP.
  • In-depth knowledge of project management life cycles, with the ability to develop project plans, define milestones, and monitor deliverables.
  • Strong command of Office 365, Bluebeam, and other project management or CAD-related tools.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position with days and hours of work generally Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. This position may require long hours and weekend work.

Travel

Regional travel to project sites is a required part of this role.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, much of the work may be performed while sitting at a desk, using a computer, typing, handling calls and using standard office equipment. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies weighing up to 20 pounds.

The base annual salary range offered for this position is based on numerous factors, including job-related skills and knowledge, experience, specific location, relevant education and/or training. In addition to the annual salary, we offer a full benefits package.
