Description

We're seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager who is relationship-driven and growth-minded to help grow our commercial new-construction business and manage the jobs we win. The majority of this role is spent on business development — bidding, pricing, and following up to close new work. The rest is spent project managing awarded jobs from procurement through closeout.

Responsibilities:

Business Development (majority of role)

  • Pursue new commercial project opportunities with GCs, developers, and architects
  • Scope overhead doors and dock equipment from plans/specs and prepare competitive proposals
  • Own the bid pipeline — track quotes, follow up consistently, and drive opportunities to award
  • Build lasting relationships that generate repeat and referral business
  • Support take-offs, pricing strategy, and negotiate scope/terms to win work while protecting margin

Project Management

  • Own awarded projects from kickoff through final walkthrough and closeout
  • Build schedules and coordinate material lead times, crews, and site readiness
  • Manage procurement/logistics and oversee installation crews and subcontractors remotely
  • Track budgets, change orders, and billing milestones; flag issues proactively
  • Maintain project documentation (submittals, RFIs, punch lists) and report status to stakeholders
  • Other job duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field (equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree)
  • 2+ years in construction sales, estimating, or project management preferred
  • Track record or strong aptitude for winning business through bidding and relationship management
  • Familiarity with construction workflows (bid, submittal, procurement, installation, closeout) a plus
  • Strong organizational, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency with CRM/PM tools (Procore, MS Project, or similar)
  • Office-based; travel/jobsite visits as needed
