Senior Software Engineer – Full Stack (Java)

We are looking for passionate software engineers who enjoy solving complex problems, working in agile teams, and building high-quality software using modern engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable web applications, APIs, and microservices in a cloud-native architecture
• Write clean, maintainable, and production-quality code following best practices
• Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and engineers to deliver business solutions
• Contribute to Agile development practices, including TDD and continuous delivery
• Enhance test automation and improve application quality and coverage
• Monitor and optimise system performance using cloud monitoring tools
• Participate in code reviews and promote software craftsmanship
• Work closely with cross-functional teams on enterprise and fleet solutions

Qualifications

Must-Have Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of experience in software development
• Strong expertise in: • Java (Core Java) and Spring Boot
• React.js (or similar modern front-end framework)

• Experience building REST APIs and microservices
• Strong understanding of relational and/or NoSQL databases
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git)
• Hands-on experience with modern testing practices (TDD, unit & integration testing)
• Solid understanding of software design principles (OOP, SOLID, design patterns)

Good to Have

• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) and DevOps practices
• Experience with API gateways (e.g., Apigee)
• Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Splunk or Dynatrace
• Exposure to containerised or serverless architectures
• Familiarity with Agile tools such as Jira
• Experience working in XP environments (pair/mob programming)
• Exposure to automotive or large-scale enterprise systems
