Geographic Information Systems Analyst II

Job Summary:
Professional work in the design, development, and maintenance of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) data, maps, and applications. Requires demonstrated hands-on proficiency with ArcGIS Pro and experience building web GIS applications.

Job duties include:
- GIS and Data Analysis: Perform spatial analysis, geoprocessing, data editing, Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC), and map production using ArcGIS Pro. Review land cover, vegetation, and other geospatial data for accuracy and proper boundary delineation.
- Mapping & Applications: Independently develop and maintain web maps, dashboards, and applications using ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, Experience Builder, Survey123, Field Maps, Instant Apps, and other Esri technologies.
- Data Stewardship: Maintain GIS data quality, consistency, security, and accessibility.
- GIS Products and Deliverables: Independently create production ready maps, applications, reports, and geospatial products; review consultant deliverables and imagery.
- Technical Support: Troubleshoot GIS data, ArcGIS Pro, web maps, applications, and workflows; maintain technical documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Training and User Support: Provide technical assistance and training to GIS users. Collaborate with departments and technical staff to develop GIS solutions.
Knowledge Of:
- GIS concepts, spatial analysis, cartography, coordinate systems, and data management.
- ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online and/or ArcGIS Enterprise concepts, including web maps, web layers, applications, groups, sharing, and content management.
- Enterprise geodatabases, database connections, and multiuser GIS data management.
- GIS editing, QA/QC, metadata, and publishing workflows.
- Aerial imagery and land cover/vegetation data interpretation.
Skilled In:
- Hands-on use of ArcGIS Pro for spatial analysis, geoprocessing, editing, and map production.
- Demonstrate proficiency in working with enterprise geodatabases and database-connected GIS data.
- Possess hands-on experience building and configuring web GIS applications using Esri technology.
- Publishing and managing GIS data and content in ArcGIS Online and/or ArcGIS Enterprise.
- Troubleshooting GIS data, maps, applications, and workflows.
- Producing accurate, production ready GIS products and deliverables.
Ability To:
- Independently complete GIS assignments from requirements through delivery.
- Translate business needs into effective GIS solutions and applications.
- Manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Adapt to changing technologies, priorities, and business needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, planning, computer science, a physical or natural science or related field; and two years of experience in GIS analysis and data management; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
Physical Requirements/Working Environment:
General office environment; some travel (occasional weekend and evening work), hours worked over 40 in a single week earn comp time.
Licenses:
Valid State of Florida Driver’s License.
Additional Details:
Starting Salary Range: $53,580.80 - $66,955.20
Starting salary is based on qualifications and experience.
