Full description

Your role

Capgemini Engineering is looking for PLM DevOps Engineer, you will design, build and maintain the pipelines, environments and automation frameworks that enable PLM delivery teams to move safely from development through test, UAT, staging and production.

You will work closely with PLM architects, configurators, developers, testers, security teams and release stakeholders to ensure that platform changes are repeatable, traceable and supportable.

This is a hands-on role focused on Siemens Teamcenter, NX and related digital engineering services. Success will be measured by pipeline reliability, environment stability, deployment repeatability, release quality and the clarity of the technical controls and documentation supporting each release.

Your profile

  • Strong hands-on experience in DevOps, platform engineering, build engineering or release engineering within an enterprise or complex programme environment.
  • Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions or equivalent tooling.

Practical knowledge of Git-based source control, branching strategies, release branches, pull requests, artefact repositories and configuration baselines.

  • Experience automating infrastructure, application deployment or environment configuration using PowerShell, Python, Bash, Ansible, Terraform or similar technologies.
  • Experience promoting complex platform changes through multiple environments while maintaining repeatability, segregation of duties and auditable release evidence.
  • Understanding of Agile delivery, including sprint-based delivery, backlog management, Definition of Done, release planning and collaboration across multidisciplinary squads.
  • Familiarity with PLM or engineering application environments, ideally Siemens Teamcenter, Active Workspace, NX and CAD/PLM integrations.

Useful but not essential

  • Experience with Siemens Teamcenter deployment approaches and utilities, potentially including BMIDE, TEM, Active Workspace, Dispatcher, preferences, workflow templates and environment promotion.
  • Experience with NX or other CAD authoring environments integrated with enterprise PLM platforms.
  • Experience supporting Teamcenter upgrades, patching, cloning, environment refreshes or disaster-recovery rehearsals.
  • Knowledge of automated testing approaches for PLM, web applications, integrations and CAD-connected workflows.
  • Experience with containers, orchestration, infrastructure as code, observability or enterprise monitoring platforms.
  • Experience supporting data-migration rehearsals, cutover planning, deployment rehearsals or go-live for enterprise engineering platforms.
  • Experience in defence, aerospace, nuclear, rail or another highly regulated engineering sector.
  • Understanding of UK defence security expectations, secure environments and the operational constraints associated with classified or export-controlled engineering data.

If you're excited about this role but don’t meet every requirement, we still encourage you to apply, your unique experience could be just what we need.
