Core Duties & Responsibilities

  • Infrastructure Automation: Streamline environment provisioning across AWS, Microsoft Azure, and T Cloud Public utilizing Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), drastically cutting down manual setup overhead and reducing human errors.
  • Container Administration: Maintain, run, and continuously optimize containerized platforms built on Docker and OKD/OpenShift, alongside the mission-critical applications operating on top of them.
  • Cloud Performance Optimization: Ensure high availability, peak performance, fault tolerance, and comprehensive security standards across varied hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
  • Release Management: Systematically organize and roll out updates, deployments, and system patches to guarantee smooth, dependable technical changes with minimal service disruption.
  • Incident Mitigation: Diagnose and resolve complex technical obstacles, performance roadblocks, and architectural challenges through close, proactive team collaboration.
  • Cooperation & Standards: Partner directly with software development units to create secure, performant software, aiding in the establishment of organization-wide monitoring and automation benchmarks.
  • Documentation & On-Call Shifts: Keep system procedures and documentation transparently updated, and take part in a compensated on-call rotation roster once a structured introductory onboarding period is complete.

Requirements & Qualifications

Mandatory Prerequisites:

  • Cloud Computing Background: Solid, applied familiarity and architectural understanding working with at least one major cloud infrastructure provider (Microsoft Azure, AWS, or T Cloud Public).
  • Container Technology Skills: Proven, hands-on experience running Kubernetes-based container systems (with a strong focus on OKD/OpenShift) alongside standard Docker containerization.
  • Infrastructure as Code: Practical command of Terraform to successfully manage declarative infrastructure deployments.
  • DevOps Toolchain & Experience: A minimum of 3 years of career history within a specialized platform infrastructure, cloud engineering, or DevOps position, reinforced by strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Git version control workflows.
  • Language Requirements: Professional fluency in German (minimum C1 standard) is mandatory for routine team syncs, technical documentation, internal communications, and all interview phases.

Desirable Prerequisites:

  • Applied familiarity with Ansible or comparable configuration management automation utilities.
  • Direct engagement within multi-cloud or hybrid enterprise settings.
  • Scripting capabilities in Python, Bash, or PowerShell to streamline administrative tasks.
  • Current certifications in cloud technologies or Kubernetes (or the eagerness to earn them with complete company backing).
  • Formal education in Business Informatics or Computer Science, an equivalent vocational IT training program, or comparable practical background.

What We Provide

  • Compensation Package: Competitive starting salary reaching up to €70,000 gross per year, augmented by supplementary compensation for taking on-call duties.
  • Cutting-Edge Tech Stack: Engage daily with advanced container and multi-cloud ecosystems (including AWS, Azure, T Cloud Public, Kubernetes/OKD, and Terraform).
  • Work-Life Harmony: A stable hybrid working model (2 days in the office / 3 days remote), adaptable work hours, and an inclusive, family- and pet-friendly office culture.
