Position Overview
Location: Hanoi, Vietnam (Hybrid)
We're looking for a Senior Business Analyst to be instrumental in ideating, planning, and driving the launch of new products and features, while also refining and improving existing offerings. You will focus on aligning user needs with business goals to deliver best-in-class solutions, integrating product thinking with an experimentation-driven approach to realize Travala’s broader product vision.
Based in our Hanoi office, you will collaborate closely with a distributed Product team spanning Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Gurgaon, and Bangkok. Through innovative product thinking and strong analytical skills, you will continuously improve the end-user experience, catering to customer and business needs across traditional online travel booking and the blockchain technology and crypto ecosystem.
Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, you will partner with other Business Analysts, Product Managers, UX designers, Engineers, and our traveler and crypto communities. You will help the product and technology team execute key initiatives across platforms, craft project roadmaps, and ship products within defined timelines in a fast-moving landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop an
understanding of Travala business, its customers and their needs through qualitative and quantitative user research, User behavior data analysis and continuous experimentation and learning
- Being part
of the Product Org, you work on contributing to a strong product culture, vision, and product thinking across the organization.
- Be a strong believer and facilitator of the
‘Impact Driven Prioritization’ and Experimentation driven execution across the initiatives
- Bringing a fresh perspective to the Travala
Products while creating efficient workflows, improving our user-centered practices and impact of the outcomes
- Partner with the other product managers and
engineers to infuse the product with a balanced approach towards achieving Users Goals and Business Goals of a product.
- Build and improve Travala’s new and existing
products and features with the design process, spanning from discovery and design reviews through to delivery and measuring impact
- Stakeholder Management - Manage and contribute
towards marketing workflow requiring the team’s support, understand their needs including creatives, landing pages, email designs etc.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively within
cross-functional teams that span product, engineering, customer support, and marketing
- Familiarize yourself and gradually Champion the concepts of the Crypto Ecosystem –
Expertise in understanding User’s preferences, their behavior, the crypto payment network, the crypto exchanges, wallets etc.
Requirements
Must Have
- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in
Product Owner, Business Analyst, Product Management, or similar product-focused roles.
- AI-First Mindset: You actively use AI tools in your
day-to-day work to improve productivity, research, analysis, documentation, or problem-solving. You stay curious about developments in AI and are excited to experiment with new tools and ways of working. As we increasingly adopt AI agents and AI-powered workflows across our Product organization, we are looking for people who are enthusiastic about embracing this shift.
- Strong Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability
to understand business and customer problems, break them down logically, translate them into clear requirements, and work with the team to identify practical solutions.
- Requirement Gathering & User Stories: Proven
experience gathering and analyzing requirements and translating them into clear, concise, and actionable user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria.
- Product & Technical Understanding: Good
understanding of the product development lifecycle and software development processes, with the ability to work effectively with engineering teams and understand technical concepts and system dependencies.
- Agile Experience: Hands-on experience working in Agile
product teams, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, prioritization, stand-ups, and delivery.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Ability to
work effectively with Product Managers, Engineers, Designers, and business stakeholders, ensuring requirements and expectations are clearly understood and aligned.
- Clear Communication: Strong written and verbal English
communication skills, with the ability to communicate ideas and requirements clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ownership & Attention to Detail: Strong sense of
ownership with the ability to manage multiple priorities, identify potential issues early, and ensure requirements are complete and actionable throughout the development process.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-moving
environment where priorities, technologies, and product requirements can evolve quickly.
Good to Have
- Passion for Travel and/or Crypto: Genuine curiosity
about the travel industry, crypto, Web3, or the intersection of technology and travel.
- Travel Industry Experience: Previous experience working
with an OTA, travel marketplace, airline, hotel platform, or another travel technology business.
- Crypto/Web3 Experience: Exposure to crypto products,
payments, wallets, blockchain, or other Web3 technologies.
- AI Product Exposure: Experience working on AI-powered
products, AI agents, automation workflows, LLM-based applications, or integrating AI capabilities into existing products.
- Tools & Documentation: Experience with tools such
as Jira and Confluence and maintaining clear product and technical documentation.
