Meet the Team

You will be part of the Database Engineering and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team responsible for operating and maintaining Oracle Database platforms.  

Your Impact

In this role, you will combine database administration, automation, and operational expertise to ensure the health, security, and availability of Oracle database infrastructure. You will work under the guidance of senior team members to implement automation solutions, perform lifecycle management, and support the stability of database services across on-premises and cloud environments. This is a great opportunity to transform how infrastructure platforms are developed and managed with full software automation.

  • Oracle Database Administration: Manage and support Oracle Database environments (11g, 12c, 19c, 23ai); perform installation, configuration, and routine lifecycle management; ensure database availability, performance, and security.
  • Database Upgrade & Migration: Complete planned database upgrades and migrations using established procedures and tools such as AutoUpgrade, RMAN, and Data Pump.
  • Automation & Scripting: Develop and maintain scripts (Shell, Python, SQL/PLSQL) to automate routine DBA tasks, health checks, and monitoring.
  • SRE & Operational Support: Contribute to the reliability and operational excellence of Oracle platforms; implement monitoring and alerting; participate in on-call rotations and incident management; support HA/DR activities.
  • Performance Tuning: Perform basic performance analysis and optimization using AWR, ASH, and ADDM.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4–8 years of experience in Oracle Database Administration supporting enterprise-scale production environments.
  • Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, Shell scripting, and Python.
  • Experience with core Oracle technologies: Oracle ASM, RAC, Active Data Guard, RMAN, and OEM.
  • Experience in supporting Oracle Database 19c and 23ai environments.
  • Experience working in Linux/Unix production environments.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Ansible or Terraform).
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience managing Oracle workloads in public cloud environments (OCI, AWS, or Azure).
  • Operational experience with other database ecosystems (e.g., MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and a self-motivated approach to working in an Agile/DevOps environment.
