Full description

About Bruno

Bruno is an open-source, Git-native API client with 4M users, 46K GitHub stars and 500+ contributors, used by engineering teams at large enterprises across finance, retail, automotive and technology. Bruno is now building a paid business on top: team plans and an enterprise plan with the licensing, access controls and administration larger companies need. SOC 2 Type II certified. This role sits on that side.

The role

You work on the platform behind Bruno's paid product: licensing, plans and trials, authentication and access control, and the admin tooling around them. Your users are the admins and buyers at customer companies, plus Bruno's own sales, support and engineering teams.

The Senior PM sets the roadmap direction. You take the items and carry them through: understand the problem, define the smallest useful version, get it sized, sequence it with engineering, see it to release.

What you will do

  • Shape roadmap items into buildable work: the problem, the smallest slice, dependencies, what is out of scope
  • Write specs engineers can estimate and build from without coming back with questions
  • Work through the detail of licensing, seats, roles and permissions, including existing customers, self-hosted installs and edge cases
  • Turn enterprise requests from sales and support into a case for the roadmap, or a clear no
  • Work with the engineering lead and manager on sizing, sequencing and trade-offs
  • Define success before release and check it after
  • Get releases ready: docs, changelog, enablement for sales and support

Why Bruno

  • A paid business being built on a product developers already love; the enterprise plan is in flight now
  • Enterprise customers are already asking for more, so the work has a direct line to revenue
  • Short path from decision to release: small team, no layers
  • Direct access to engineering, sales and the founder
  • Build in the open on a well-known open-source project

Requirements

What we are looking for

  • 3 to 6 years as a product manager on a B2B or enterprise software product
  • Have been the PM on at least one of these, in any broader role:
  • Identity and authentication (SSO, SAML, login)
  • Access management (roles, permissions, RBAC, governance, org policies, admin controls)
  • Licensing and plans (subscriptions, billing, entitlements, enterprise tier, pricing and packaging)
  • Think in systems: data models, permissions, and what changes for customers who already exist
  • Write so a team is aligned without follow-up questions
  • Can define a metric, pull the numbers and defend the conclusion
  • Direct with engineering, sales and a founder; can say no and explain why
  • Can join within 30 days and work from the Bangalore office

Good to have

  • Engineering background before moving into product
  • Hands-on work with SSO (SAML), RBAC, audit logging or self-hosted enterprise deployments
  • Turned sales or GTM input into pricing, packaging or roadmap decisions
  • Time in a small team where the PM does the work rather than delegating it

Benefits
