Transformation Business Analyst, EVT HQ, 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

The role

Make the way we work simpler, faster and safer. As our Transformation Business Analyst, you’ll find and remove waste, reduce risk and standardise how work gets done across our operations and support teams. Using LEAN principles, process mapping, value stream mapping and FMEA, you’ll lift performance and help us rethink how our functions work, including where automation and AI can genuinely help.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading LEAN improvement projects from diagnosis through to implementation and benefits tracking
  • Spotting waste, bottlenecks and variation in customer-facing and back-of-house processes, and recommending practical solutions
  • Embedding standard work so improvements stick and can be repeated
  • Identifying processes that are strong candidates for automation or AI, and working with our Data Engineering team to assess feasibility
  • Creating and maintaining current-state and future-state process maps, including SIPOC and swimlane maps
  • Developing value stream maps to show value-adding and non-value-adding activities, lead times and handoffs
  • Using data, observation and time studies to quantify opportunities
  • Running FMEA to identify potential failure points, prioritise risk and track corrective and preventative actions with process owners
  • Supporting operational standards and audit programs by identifying recurring failures and root causes
  • Engaging and influencing stakeholders from frontline teams to senior leaders
  • Reporting on project progress and benefits delivered

What you’ll bring

  • Demonstrated experience applying LEAN principles in an operational environment
  • Proven skill in process mapping and value stream mapping, including facilitating workshops
  • Practical experience running FMEA and acting on the results
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to turn data into clear recommendations
  • Excellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder management skills
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and deliver to deadlines

It’d be great if you also have

  • Lean or Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or above)
  • Experience in hospitality, entertainment or multi-site operations
  • Familiarity with root cause analysis methods such as 5 Whys and fishbone diagrams, and A3 problem solving
  • Experience with process mapping tools
  • Experience identifying automation or AI opportunities, and the judgement to tell genuine candidates from processes that should simply be removed
  • Practical fluency with AI and automation tools, with a clear view of what they do well and where they introduce risk

What success looks like

  • Measurable improvements in efficiency, cost, quality or customer experience
  • Reduced risk through completed FMEA actions
  • Process maps and standard work adopted across teams
  • Stronger continuous improvement capability across the business

Perks from day one

As part of EVT, you unlock Elevate Perks from your first day. Parity for all levels, no ivory towers.

  • 50% off dining and stays across EVT hotels: QT, Rydges, Atura, LyLo and more
  • $2 movie tickets plus discounts on Gold Class, Moonlight Cinema and Candy Bar
