Amazon seeks a Finance Business Partner to support Amazon Japan Payments team. The person will be part of a team responsible for long and short term financial planning, controllership of weekly/monthly/quarterly financial reporting, and provide business modelling to support strategic negotiations with partners. They will drive both short- and long-term investment decisions.

Candidate should have the following strengths: - Self-starter that is comfortable working independently in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment. - Strong written and oral communication skills combined with the ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workloads. - Ability to work well with cross functional teams and lead Senior Leadership reviews. - Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including Financial modeling and working with large data sets - Strong strategic business partnering experience - Solid business judgment and controllership focus. - The ability to translate large amounts of data into useful information and actionable conclusions.

A day in the life - Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly reporting of performance KPIs and variance analyses - Forecasting and Planning - Financial modeling for deal negotiations - ROI analysis for Marketing and dev work investments

Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related analytical field - 5+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience, with focus on strategic/commercial finance - Business Level English and Japanese - Proficiency in Excel and fluency with AI tools and workflows, demonstrated in financial modeling and automation - Experience working with Cognos, TM1, and Oracle Financials or similar tools - Experience driving continuous process improvements and automation that enhance controllership and scale - Experience working in cross functional teams and a matrixed environment - Experience working with, presenting to and influencing senior executives up to VP level

Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with financial services, payments or e-commerce - MBA, or CPA - Familiarity with agentic AI product economics or emerging technology monetization
