Role Description:
The Senior Financial Analyst – Projects is an exciting 12-month max-term opportunity in our Project Finance team based at our Perth Central Park office.
The primary purpose of the Senior Financial Analyst – Projects is to provide project management accounting support and advice to project teams enabling the delivery of Synergy’s $3.8+ billion renewable projects portfolio.
Job responsibilities:
- Actively influence decision making to improve project delivery performance
- Build relationships with project managers and project teams to provide challenge, support and analyses to encourage them to make financially astute decisions
- Support project teams with financial analysis and support throughout the project lifecycle
- Assist project teams in the development of appropriate wbs structures; liaise with the corporate asset analyst and ensure project master data and wbs structure are reflected correctly in the accounting system
- Provide financial input and analysis into key governance documents such as project briefs or business cases
What you will bring:
- Recognised university degree in finance, accounting or another relevant field
- More than 7 years’ experience in finance roles including project accounting, business partnering or management accounting role
- Solid understanding of project lifecycles, project methodologies and change management processes and their importance in successfully delivering projects
- Demonstrated experience working with financial / ERP systems and business intelligence tools Minimum of 2 years experience with heavy industry or utilities logistics or supply chain
- Some travel to offsite locations may be required
