A leading provider of rolling stock, infrastructure and advanced technologies for global rail customers. The company delivers locomotives and engines, trackwork, signaling, fasteners, and comprehensive locomotive and freight car services, along with aftermarket parts and recycling. Its technology portfolio includes data analytics, automation, connected assets, predictive maintenance and yard optimization tools.

About the role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will partner with stakeholders across Operations, Engineering, Sales, Project Management and Logistics to deliver accurate financial reporting and analysis that supports business objectives.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Economics or a related discipline
  • CPA, CA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification preferred
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in financial analysis, management accounting, commercial finance or business partnering
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modelling skills
  • Experience using ERP and financial management systems
  • Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong attention to detail and a continuous improvement min

Responsibilities of the Position

  • Preparing monthly financial reports and performance analysis
  • Supporting annual budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Monitoring business performance against budgets and forecasts
  • Analysing revenue, costs, margins and operational performance
  • Providing financial support to project and operational teams
  • Developing financial models, business cases and investment analyses
  • Supporting month-end and year-end close activities
  • Identifying cost-saving and business improvement opportunities
  • Assisting with audit, governance and compliance requirements
  • Developing management reports and financial dashboards
  • Supporting tax planning, tax payments and related activities
