My Client is looking for an experienced Senior Digital Product Analyst to join a digital customer platform team on a contract basis.
This role combines customer journey analysis, digital product optimisation, requirements definition, data analysis and experimentation.
You will work across digital products, customer journeys and supporting systems to understand customer and business needs, translate these into clear product requirements, analyse customer behaviour and performance, and identify opportunities to improve both customer experience and business outcomes.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working across business analysis, product management, digital analytics and continuous improvement, using data and evidence to inform product decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Product Analysis and Requirements
- Analyse customer and business problems and translate them into clear, actionable product requirements.
- Define end-to-end customer journeys, user flows, business rules and expected product behaviour.
- Create user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows and functional specifications.
- Work with stakeholders to clarify requirements, identify dependencies, resolve gaps and ensure alignment.
- Support product refinement, delivery, testing and adoption of new features and improvements.
- Ensure functional, customer experience, technical and measurement requirements are clearly defined and aligned.
Product Analytics and Customer Insights
- Analyse customer behaviour across digital journeys, conversion funnels and product experiences.
- Identify customer friction points, drop-off areas, behavioural patterns and opportunities for optimisation.
- Define product KPIs, success measures and performance metrics.
- Translate measurement requirements into tracking and event specifications.
- Develop, maintain and interpret dashboards and product performance reports.
- Analyse post-launch performance and translate data into actionable product recommendations.
- Support opportunity sizing and prioritisation using customer, product and commercial data.
Digital Product Optimisation and Experimentation
- Develop data-driven hypotheses to improve customer journeys, digital products and user experiences.
- Define measurement approaches for new features and optimisation initiatives.
- Support A/B testing, experimentation and other optimisation initiatives.
- Analyse experiment results and assess the impact of product changes.
- Measure delivered features against agreed customer and business outcomes.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement through product analytics, customer insights and experimentation.
Stakeholder Collaboration and Delivery
- Work closely with Product, UX, Engineering, Data, Marketing and Business stakeholders.
- Act as a bridge between business requirements, customer needs, data and technology.
- Communicate complex requirements, analytical findings and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Contribute to the ongoing optimisation and evolution of the Digital Customer Platform.
- Support cross-functional teams throughout the product development and delivery lifecycle.
Requirements
5+ years' experience in Product Analysis, Digital Product Analysis, Product Analytics, Business Analysis, Digital Product or a closely related discipline.
- Strong experience analysing and documenting digital customer journeys and user experiences.
- Proven ability to translate business and customer needs into structured product requirements and functional specifications.
- Strong experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience analysing customer behaviour, digital conversion funnels and product performance.
- Experience defining product KPIs, metrics and success measures.
- Experience defining digital tracking, event and measurement requirements.
- Hands-on experience with product analytics and digital analytics platforms such as PostHog, Mixpanel, Amplitude, GA4 or similar.
- Experience working with dashboards, reporting and data visualisation.
- Experience supporting A/B testing, experimentation, conversion optimisation or digital optimisation initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation and communication skills.
- Experience working within cross-functional digital product or technology delivery teams.
Advantageous Experience
- Power BI or other business intelligence and data visualisation tools.
- CRM and customer lifecycle data.
- Financial services or another regulated industry.
- Digital platforms spanning multiple products, customer journeys or business areas.
- Experience working within Agile product development environments.
