Job Description

Your Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle Database Administrator (Oracle DBA) with 4–6 years of hands-on experience in Oracle Database Administration, PL/SQL development, database performance tuning, and database maintenance activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring database availability, performance, security, and reliability across enterprise environments. The role requires strong expertise in Oracle Database Administration, PL/SQL programming, query optimization, backup and recovery, database monitoring, performance troubleshooting, patching, and production support. The candidate will work closely with application, infrastructure, and support teams to maintain stable and high-performing Oracle database environments.

  • Support Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Oracle Database environments.
  • Monitor database health, performance, storage usage, and availability across Production, UAT, QA, and Development environments.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize complex PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
  • Perform database performance tuning using AWR Reports, ASH Reports, Explain Plans, SQL Trace, and Oracle performance tools.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database issues related to locking, blocking, deadlocks, memory utilization, and query performance.
  • Implement and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Support database patching, upgrades, migrations, and database refresh activities.
  • Manage Oracle user accounts, roles, privileges, and database security controls.
  • Monitor and maintain tablespaces, storage utilization, and database growth.
  • Perform index analysis, SQL tuning, partitioning, and execution plan optimization.
  • Support production incidents, problem management, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Corrective Action Plans (CAP).
  • Automate routine DBA activities using Shell Scripts and PL/SQL.
  • Collaborate with development and application teams to troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.
  • Create and maintain database administration documentation, SOPs, runbooks, and recovery procedures.
  • Participate in on-call support and critical incident management activities.

Your Profile:

  • 4–6 years of hands-on experience in Oracle Database Administration.
  • Strong experience in PL/SQL Development and Optimization.
  • Experience with Oracle Database 12c, 19c, or higher.
  • Strong understanding of SQL and PL/SQL performance tuning techniques.
  • Experience with Oracle Backup and Recovery.
  • Hands-on experience with database patching, cloning, refreshes, and upgrades.
  • Expertise in database monitoring, troubleshooting, and proactive maintenance.
  • Experience managing Oracle users, roles, permissions, and security policies.
  • Good understanding of Oracle architecture, memory structures, and database internals.
  • Knowledge of partitioning, indexing strategies, and query optimization.
  • Experience supporting production databases in enterprise environments.
