WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Synapticon builds the motion control and actuator technology at the core of next-generation humanoid robots. Our ACTILINK actuator series and Positron Safety AI architecture are deployed in some of the most demanding humanoid and advanced robotics programmes globally.

As Technical Project Manager you will own the full delivery of one or more customer projects within our Synapticon Intelligence service business — from initial scoping through integration, safety certification and handover. You report directly to the Head of Synapticon Intelligence and work within a multidisciplinary scrum team alongside other PMs and specialists across hardware, software, functional safety and systems engineering. HERE'S WHERE YOU MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Own end-to-end project delivery: scope, schedule, budget, milestones, risk, and customer sign-off
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for EU and US customers — calls, written communication, deliverables review, payment coordination
  • Coordinate with suppliers and third-party service providers (hardware, certification bodies incl. TÜV, external engineering)
  • Navigate a matrix organisation: drive execution through a shared scrum team without direct line authority over engineers
  • Track and communicate project status across all stakeholders — internally, externally, and at management level
  • Support commercial aspects: scope changes, time & material tracking, invoicing triggers
  • Travel to customer sites in Europe and the US as needed

WHO YOU ARE

  • 5+ years of hands-on robotics experience — you've built AMRs, humanoids, or similarly complex mechatronic systems
  • Deep familiarity with robotics system integration: actuators, drives, sensors, middleware (ROS/ROS2 a strong plus)
  • Solid understanding of functional safety (ISO 13849, IEC 62061, FSoE) and what it takes to get a safety-rated system through certification
  • 3+ years of project management experience, ideally in a customer-facing technical services or product engineering context
  • Experience managing suppliers, external contractors, and cross-functional development teams
  • Clear, confident communicator — able to translate between customer requirements and engineering constraints
  • Fluent in German and English (both written and spoken); other languages a plus
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and comfortable pushing for clarity when needed

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU

  • A warm, international team that truly enjoys working together
  • Plenty of creative freedom and the opportunity to make a real impact
  • Flexible working hours and hybrid work options
  • Short decision-making paths, flat hierarchies, and open communication
  • Professional development opportunities and exciting projects
  • 30 days of paid vacation
  • Full-time position (40 hours/week) with a permanent contract
  • Company pension scheme through Dyno
  • Flexible working hours when life takes unexpected turns
  • Company-supported gym memberships through Wellpass
  • A company-sponsored health program (WLP app, regular physical activities, nutritional coaching, and more)
  • Job bike program to support a healthy commute (optional)
  • Birthday vouchers
  • Snacks and fresh fruit for all employees, plus breakfast every Monday
  • Free drinks and coffee, of course
  • Regular global team-building events such as bootcamps, ski trips, and summer BBQs — spouses and children are warmly invited to Friday BBQ events
  • Modern office spaces

HACKING THE PHYSICS AND ECONOMICS OF MOTION CONTROL WITH DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY

At Synapticon, we are revolutionizing motion control for robotics and machines—right at the point of motion. Our approach is completely new: we integrate previously separate components such as motors, drives, sensors, and gearboxes into seamless units. At the same time, we are digitizing performance and quality factors that previously depended on expensive mechanical manufacturing.
