Job Summary
The Project Manager within IT Operations is responsible for delivering technology initiatives through the standardized PMO service catalog, ensuring disciplined demand execution, project delivery, financial oversight, risk management, and governance. The role supports enterprise platforms and partners with Product, Architecture, Platform Owners, ITSM, and business stakeholders to drive predictable delivery outcomes aligned to portfolio priorities.
Responsibilities
- Platform / Domain Scope
o Information Security, Cybersecurity, Risk & Compliance, Security Operations, Identity & Access Management, and Security Tooling
o Additional Focus (PMO Service Execution Context)
o Deliver IT Security initiatives through standardized PMO intake, planning, and governance processes
o Manage projects supporting security architecture, tooling, controls, remediation, and compliance initiatives
o Coordinate closely with Information Security leadership, risk teams, ITSM, and technology owners
o Manage delivery of security assessments, audit remediation, control enhancements, and regulatory commitments
o Ensure project plans reflect security risk, data sensitivity, and regulatory constraints
o Support change enablement, controlled releases, and operational readiness without increasing security exposure
o Maintain heightened risk, issue, and dependency tracking in line with security governance expectations
- Preferred Experience
o Experience delivering cybersecurity or security‑adjacent initiatives
o Familiarity with security frameworks, audits, or regulatory drivers
o Comfort operating in highly controlled, risk‑sensitive environments
- Demand Intake & Initiation
o Execute approved demand following PMO intake, prioritization, and funding workflows
o Validate scope, objectives, dependencies, delivery model, and success criteria
o Ensure alignment to platform roadmaps and portfolio priorities
- Project & Delivery Management
o Own end‑to‑end project delivery across planning, execution, monitoring, and closure
o Develop and maintain integrated project plans, milestones, and dependency tracking
o Coordinate cross‑functional delivery teams, including GDC resources and vendors
- Financial & Resource Management
o Manage budgets, forecasts, burn rates, and delivery variance
o Coordinate resource plans within established capacity and demand constraints
o Support capitalization, forecasting, and financial governance processes
- Risk, Issue & Dependency Management
o Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, and cross‑initiative dependencies
o Drive mitigation plans and escalate decision points as required
o Maintain transparent RAID reporting aligned to PMO standards
- Governance, Reporting & Controls
o Produce standardized PMO reporting (status, milestones, financials, KPIs)
o Support stage gates, portfolio reviews, and governance forums
o Ensure adherence to PMO delivery standards and auditability requirements
- Change & Operational Readiness
o Coordinate with Change Enablement and Release Management
o Ensure testing, cutover, communications, and readiness activities are planned and executed
o Support post‑deployment stabilization and transition to operations
Skills and Experience
Skills
- Strong enterprise project management and PMO delivery expertise
- Proven experience managing scope, schedule, budget, and risk
- Familiarity with PMO and ITSM tooling (ServiceNow PPM, Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar)
- Experience working with vendors and distributed / GDC delivery teams
- Strong stakeholder communication and executive‑level reporting skills.
Education / Professional Experience/ Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Business, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- 5–8 years of project management experience in an enterprise IT environment
- Experience operating within formal PMO governance and delivery models
