Who we are

Our client is looking for a Software Tester / QA Engineer ideally performing also automated testing.

As a Software Tester / QA Engineer, you will support our development team in quality assurance and the further development of the KIDICAP application in the public-sector environment. You will work closely with developers, business analysts, and the customer to ensure that new and existing functionalities are implemented reliably and to a high quality standard.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Analyzing functional and technical requirements and deriving suitable test scenarios and test cases
  • Planning, creating, executing, and documenting software tests
  • Performing functional tests, regression tests, as well as integration and end-to-end tests
  • Testing new functionalities, enhancements, and bug fixes
  • Quality assurance of frontend, backend, and interface functionalities
  • Testing legal and functional changes within the KIDICAP application
  • Identifying, documenting, and tracking defects
  • Re-testing fixed defects and performing regression tests
  • Supporting the creation and further development of automated tests
  • Maintaining and enhancing existing test cases and test documentation
  • Analyzing and documenting test results
  • Close collaboration with developers on defect analysis and resolution
  • Supporting release and acceptance tests
  • Actively contributing to the continuous improvement of our QA and testing processes

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in software testing / quality assurance
  • Experience in creating and executing manual and, ideally, automated tests
  • Good knowledge of functional tests, regression tests, as well as integration and end-to-end tests
  • Experience with test and defect management
  • Knowledge of Tosca or comparable test automation tools is an advantage
  • Experience with Jira or comparable tools
  • Basic knowledge of REST APIs / interface testing
  • SQL or database knowledge is an advantage
  • Experience in an agile development environment
  • Analytical and structured working style as well as a strong quality mindset
  • Strong communication skills and enjoyment of collaboration in international and distributed teams
