Full description
About JBS Foods Australia
We're a cornerstone of the Australian food sector and part of the world's largest protein business — beef, lamb, pork and poultry, with brands including Primo and Andrews Meat Industries. Behind that sits a genuinely complex technology landscape: continuous production, cold chain logistics, export compliance and consumer brands, across sites nationwide.
We're several years into modernising it. That's where you come in.
The opportunity
We're looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join our IT Project Management Office, reporting to the Head of PMO.
This isn't a requirements-gathering role. You'll be the person who asks why before how — interrogating the problem behind the request, testing whether technology is even the right answer, and making sure what we build solves something real. You'll work with executives and plant managers one day and solution architects, cyber security and integration specialists the next, and you'll be credible in both rooms.
You'll stay with your initiatives from problem definition through to benefits realisation. No handing over a document and walking away.
What you'll do
- Partner with senior stakeholders across operations, supply chain, sales, finance and corporate services
- Define and challenge the problem, root causes, not symptoms; options and recommendations, not order-taking
- Lead requirements, process and solution design workshops, including on-site at our production facilities
- Assess technology impacts, dependencies and risks alongside architecture, infrastructure, security and vendor teams
- Map and improve end-to-end processes, and quantify the improvement
- Support delivery through testing, change, implementation and post-go-live benefit verification
What you'll bring
- 7+ years in business analysis, including large, complex, multi-system enterprise environments
- Real technical fluency — integration and APIs, cloud and infrastructure, data flows, SDLC — enough to hold your own without an interpreter
- SQL and hands-on data analysis; BPMN process modelling (Signavio, Visio or similar)
- The judgement and diplomacy to challenge senior stakeholders constructively
- Strong facilitation, influencing and executive-grade communication
- Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience; CBAP, CCBA or PMI-PBA well regarded
Experience in food manufacturing, FMCG, agribusiness or another 24/7 operating environment is a bonus, not a requirement.
Why join us
You'll have visible influence over a transformation portfolio at national scale, in a business where technology decisions have immediate, physical consequences — you can walk onto a plant floor and see the process you just redesigned. Add whatever your standard package inclusions are here.
