As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll lead high-impact, cross-functional logistics and supply chain projects from initial scoping through to successful delivery and handover. You’ll set the direction, build robust delivery plans, control budgets, resources, risks and dependencies, and ensure every project delivers against operational priorities, strategic objectives and measurable return on investment. 
Working closely with operations, IT, finance, procurement, vendors and contractors, you’ll drive clear governance, proactive communication and effective decision-making across complex programmes of work. This role will also play an important part in coaching Project Managers, strengthening project controls and embedding continuous improvement across the delivery lifecycle.
The Details
- Lead strategic, cross-functional logistics, supply chain and operational change projects from concept through to delivery and handover. 
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, success measures and governance requirements. 
- Develop detailed project plans, milestone schedules, resource plans and delivery roadmaps. 
- Manage budgets, cost tracking, forecasts, risks, issues, dependencies and mitigation strategies. 
- Coordinate internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication, timely decisions and strong engagement throughout the project lifecycle. 
- Oversee vendor, supplier and contractor performance, including delivery quality, commercial control, health and safety, and compliance. 
- Track project milestones, KPIs, benefits, risks and overall performance with associated governance.  
- Present clear, concise updates, recommendations and escalations to senior leadership and project steering groups. 
- Support change management, stakeholder readiness, operational transition and post-project benefit realisation. 
- Maintain strong project documentation, including plans, RAID logs, decisions, approvals, handover packs and lessons learned logs. 
- Mentor and guide Project Managers and project team members, sharing best practice and raising delivery capability across the team. 
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, IT, procurement and finance teams to ensure projects are commercially robust, operationally viable and strategically aligned. 
- Drive continuous improvement across project delivery processes, tools, templates and ways of working.

Qualifications
About You  
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Business, Engineering, or related field 
- Prior experience of project management 
- APM, PRINCE2 or similar certification preferred 
- Proven leadership in large-scale logistics projects 
- Strong financial and risk management skills 
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g. MS Project) 
- Excellent stakeholder and vendor management 
- Experience in logistics, ecommerce, or supply chain 
- Strong presentation and reporting skills 
- Willingness to travel up to 50%
