Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Project Manager.

What you’ll do:

This position is responsible for the management and successful execution of Plant projects portfolio (STP, NPI, VAVE) and lead the PROLaunch OpA category as Plant Champion. The PM manages all stages for the project from initiation, strategy, planning, execution, validation, launch, closure. In addition, requirements changes, risk mitigation, and issue tracking/resolution. This position reports to the Program Manager and is accountable for the oversight of the cross functional activities managing shared resources across multiple projects and functions to drive on time industrualization and project execution.

  • Leads a cross functional team on project planning/execution aligned to scope, schedule, cost, resources, quality requirements. Works with other departments at the Plant and Divisional level (e.g., Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Marketing, EHS, Facilities, PLS, Finance, HR, IT, Suppliers, etc.) following PROLaunch standard.
  • Leads Risk Management for the project, working proactively with functional teams identifying risks and implementing appropriate risk responses to achieve project targets.
  • Ensures standard program management processes are utilized and provide support to the team by coordinating PM reviews, preparing & publishing PM metrics and project reports.
  • Develops and monitors detail Project Schedule/Plan to track progress and milestone achievement.
  • Ensures the team follows the PROLaunch standard, including Activity Matrix deliverables and leads the team during stages and Gate Review.
  • Creates and maintains comprehensive project documentation as part of Repository Folder.
  • Works with key suppliers impacting the project to drive schedule attainment and action tracking to remove roadblocks for execution.
  • Financial acumen to complete required capital appropriation request for the project working in alignment with Finance function.
  • Communicates and provides periodic project status reports and escalation to project stakeholders per Project Communications Plan.
  • Understands project impact to the business and identifies impact of project changes to other projects within the Plant.
  • Drives the implementation of company standard tools to improve Program Management performance at the site. Monitor compliance with engineering standards, company policies and procedures (PM CoE).
  • Deploys OpA PROLaunch Category requirements and work on action plan to continuously improve the plant level. OpA PROLaunch Champion.
  • Establishes objectives, goals, and provides direction to the project teams in areas of customer needs, potential changes in scope and risk assessment.
  • Completes other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with and adhere to the policies and procedures established in the applicable Management Systems (EQMS, MESH, Authorized Economic Operator (AEO), ISO 9001:2015, and ISO 14001:2015 standards) to ensure compliance with the Management System.
