👉 Summary

We are looking for a new GIGAnte to join our team as a Developer Ruby on Rails Semisenior. The client is an event technology and production company with a presence in the United States, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic. The company combines audiovisual technology, creative services, and digital solutions to support in-person, hybrid, and virtual events. Its teams work with meeting planners, producers, technical directors, hotels, and venues, providing support from initial planning and design through event execution..

 

👉 What You'll Do

  • Build and evolve business logic, models, migrations and APIs (REST/GraphQL) in an existing Rails application.
  • Implement event producers and consumers with Apache Kafka for asynchronous flows between services.
  • Design scalable APIs for the mobile app ecosystem and deploy on AWS infrastructure.
  • Build resilient integration layers with Salesforce and Sage ERP.
  • Write unit and integration tests (RSpec) and deliver feature increments in Agile sprints.
  • Estimate story points, design technical tasks and safeguard system performance and API stability.
  • Collaborate with Product, QA and the client's internal team in an integrated working model.

👉 We'll Expect You To Have

  • Solid, recent Ruby on Rails experience at a semisenior level.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS.
  • Experience with Kafka or event-driven architectures.
  • Experience with enterprise applications or products, evolving existing applications.
  • Fluent English, able to work directly with US-based teams.
  • Testing with RSpec and Agile methodologies.
