You will work closely with Product, Development, and QA teams to contribute to the quality assurance of our educational products, including WIRIS Quizzes and Nubric, helping deliver reliable and high-quality learning experiences.

What will you do?

Test Preparation & Documentation

  • Review user stories and requirements with the team to understand feature behavior and testing needs.
  • Create and maintain test cases based on functional specifications and project requirements.
  • Participate in test planning activities and QA discussions.

Manual Testing

  • Execute functional tests across web, desktop, and backend applications.
  • Perform regression testing to ensure existing functionality remains stable after changes.
  • Participate in acceptance testing activities with stakeholders and team members.
  • Document test results and provide feedback to support release decisions.

Test Automation

  • Develop and maintain automated tests using established frameworks and best practices.
  • Execute automated test suites and analyze results.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of automated functional and API tests.
  • Contribute to integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

Defect Management

  • Identify, reproduce, document, and track software defects.
  • Collaborate with developers to investigate and resolve issues.
  • Communicate testing findings and quality concerns clearly and effectively.

Continuous Improvement

  • Follow QA processes, standards, and best practices.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, team meetings, and knowledge-sharing activities.
  • Learn new testing techniques, tools, and methodologies.
  • Contribute ideas to improve testing processes and product quality.

What will make you succeed in this position?

Education & Experience

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Up to 2 years of experience in software quality assurance, software development, internships, academic projects, or similar technical environments.
  • Interest in software testing and quality assurance.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English.

Technical Skills

  • Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
  • Familiarity with defect tracking and project management tools such as Jira or similar.
  • Basic knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, HTTP).
  • Basic JavaScript skills and ability to understand and modify automated tests.
  • Familiarity with test automation frameworks such as Playwright.
  • Basic knowledge of API testing using tools like Postman.
  • Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
  • Basic understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools such as GitHub Actions.
  • Experience with development and testing tools such as Visual Studio Code and browser developer tools.

Nice to have:

  • ISTQB Foundation Level certification (or equivalent)

  • Previous experience in education, teaching, or the EdTech sector
  • Knowledge of non-functional testing, including performance and accessibility testing
