Job Summary:

The OJT will support the Business Intelligence and Data Analytics team in developing data-driven solutions for operational monitoring, reporting, and decision-making.

Depending on the trainee’s educational background, technical skills, and current team requirements, the trainee may be assigned to Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Data Engineering, Business Analysis, or Application Development activities.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in collecting, cleaning, validating, and organizing data from various sources.
  • Support the development and maintenance of dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.
  • Assist in performing exploratory data analysis and identifying trends, patterns, and data-quality issues.
  • Support the development of ETL processes, data pipelines, and automated data-processing workflows.
  • Assist in preparing datasets and data models for reporting and analytics.
  • Participate in requirements gathering and documentation of business processes and user requirements.
  • Support the development and testing of web applications, analytics tools, and internal systems.
  • Perform system, data, and user acceptance testing and document identified issues.
  • Prepare technical documentation, process flows, user guides, and project updates.
  • Coordinate with team members and process owners in completing assigned projects and deliverables.
  • Perform other data, analytics, or application-development activities assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Business Analytics, Engineering, or a related program.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
  • Familiarity with SQL, Power BI, Python, web development, databases, or other analytics tools is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and work collaboratively with different teams.
  • Able to complete assigned tasks and documentation within agreed timelines.
