TS/SCI Systems Administrator / Site Reliability Engineer

Job Status: Job is active and funded - it is contingent upon clearance cross over

 

Location: Reston, VA or Bolling AFB, DC (onsite)

 

Clearance Required: Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess a current and active TS/SCI clearance granted by the Department of Defense or an Intelligence Community agency. Must be able to pass a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph (current CI Polygraph a plus).

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Systems Administrator / Site Reliability Engineer to join our team.

 

Our Systems Administrator and Site Reliability Engineer will ensure that systems stay up, optimally provisioned, team members have the tools and permissions they need and systems are capable of recovering quickly on failure. The infrastructure to be managed, crosses multiple domains, is on C2E, AWS, as well as a hosted OpenShift cluster.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Configuring AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, Secrets Manager)

• Configuring OpenShift deployment files

• Basic Linux administration, passwords, configurations, provisioning

• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize resource allocation for high-throughput AI workflows.  

• Implement security protocols (ABAC, PKI encryption) to comply with DIA CIO, NIST SP 800-53, and ICD 503 standards. 

• Collaborate with engineers to ensure infrastructure aligns with data processing requirements. 

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher or equivalent experience

• 8+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure management (AWS, Kubernetes). 

• Strong understanding of security frameworks (ABAC, PKI encryption). 

• Strong understanding of Red Hat / Linux administration

• 8140 certified (e.g. Security +) and AWS certified (able to obtain a customer privileged user account)

Education Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher or equivalent experience 

Years of Experience:

• 8+ years w/ Bachelor of Science degree Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field 

• 12+ years with HS 

 

Desired Qualifications:

• Familiarity with DIA JWICS/C2S environments.

• OpenShift experience
