Summary

Chenega Services and Federal Solutions, LLC (CSFS) is seeking a Technical Writer to support the Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) Office of the Commissioner Strategic Initiative Programs. The Technical Writer will assist the Government in performing acquisition support functions to include pre-solicitation and solicitation activities. Specific tasks and duties include performing technical writing, review, and editing of information for pre- and post-award documents in support of the Sentinel 3.0 and other FDA programs. The FDA Sentinel Initiative is a national electronic system used to monitor the safety of approved medical products—such as drugs, vaccines, and medical devices—after they reach the market. This role works closely with program managers, systems engineers, contracting professionals, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to ensure documentation is accurate, compliant, and aligned with program objectives and acquisition requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, edit, format, and maintain acquisition and program documentation, including:• Statements of Work (SOW)
  • Performance Work Statements (PWS)
  • Statements of Objectives (SOO)
  • Acquisition Plans
  • Procurement Requests
  • Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs)
  • Technical reports and studies
  • Program Management Plans (PMPs)
  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Meeting materials and briefings
  • Collaborate with program managers, contracting officers, engineers, logistics personnel, and subject matter experts to gather and organize technical information.
  • Support all phases of the acquisition lifecycle, including planning, requirements development, solicitation, award, and program execution.
  • Ensure documentation complies with applicable federal acquisition regulations, organizational standards, and customer requirements.
  • Review and edit technical content for accuracy, consistency, readability, and adherence to formatting standards.
  • Develop executive-level briefings, presentations, white papers, decision packages, and milestone documentation.
  • Maintain configuration control of program documents and manage version history.
  • Coordinate document reviews, comment adjudication, and approval workflows.
  • Assist with responses to data calls, audits, program reviews, and customer inquiries.
  • Produce graphics, process flows, tables, and other visual aids to communicate technical and acquisition concepts.
  • Support proposal development efforts through content creation, editing, and compliance reviews as required.
  • Maintain document repositories and ensure records are current and accessible.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of related experience.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, scheduling methodologies, and critical path analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability and desire to read/research to obtain knowledge of purchasing/contracting methods and techniques including small purchasing techniques, complex federal acquisition, research and interpretation of laws, regulations, and policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Computing skills including ability to use Microsoft Office suite.
