Lead Solutions Architect

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Lead Solutions Architect based in Germany.

This is a senior, high-impact architecture and technical pre-sales role focused on helping enterprise customers solve complex data and AI challenges. You will own strategic customer relationships from the first technical discussion through production, combining business acumen with deep technical expertise. The role requires you to engage confidently with C-level stakeholders, lead sophisticated proofs of concept, and turn customer needs into compelling working prototypes. You will use AI-assisted development to accelerate solution design and demonstrate what is possible in hours rather than weeks. Beyond customer delivery, you will mentor other Solutions Architects and help shape technical best practices across the region. You will also strengthen the organization’s technical presence across the DACH market through workshops, events, thought leadership, and community engagement.

Accountabilities

• Lead complex enterprise accounts across the full technical sales lifecycle, from initial discovery and architecture discussions through proof of concept, production deployment, and long-term customer success.

• Act as a trusted technical advisor to enterprise customers, translating strategic business challenges into scalable data, analytics, cloud, and AI solutions.

• Deliver compelling technical demonstrations, solution pitches, and presentations to technical decision-makers, budget holders, C-level executives, and other senior stakeholders.

• Rapidly develop credible working prototypes and customer demos using AI-assisted development, applying sound technical judgment to validate, refine, and productionize AI-generated outputs.

• Design and oversee complex proofs of concept on major public cloud platforms, ensuring that solutions address both technical requirements and measurable business outcomes.

• Orchestrate cross-functional teams and collaborate with internal subject-matter experts, product teams, engineering stakeholders, and leadership to move complex opportunities forward.

• Mentor and develop Solutions Architects and Senior Solutions Architects, helping strengthen technical capabilities, customer engagement skills, and solution delivery practices across the regional team.

• Establish and roll out repeatable technical processes, architectural best practices, and solution patterns that improve consistency and effectiveness across the region.

• Build the technical presence of the organization across the DACH market through customer workshops, technical collateral, meetups, conference presentations, and other community-facing activities.

• Assess competing technologies, customer priorities, and investment opportunities to recommend the right technical direction and prioritize high-value use cases.

Requirements

• Fluent German and business-level English, with the ability to communicate confidently with customers, executives, technical teams, and internal stakeholders in both languages.

• Substantial experience in technical pre-sales, solutions architecture, consulting, or a closely related customer-facing technical role involving complex enterprise engagements throughout the sales lifecycle.

• Proven ability to lead sophisticated technical and business conversations with C-level executives and senior decision-makers while influencing outcomes toward long-term customer value.

• Strong experience in the data technology landscape, with deep expertise in at least one of data engineering or data science.

• Hands-on coding capabilities in Python and SQL, with the ability to build, evaluate, and communicate working technical solutions.

• Extensive experience designing and executing complex proofs of concept using at least one major public cloud platform.

• Daily, practical use of AI tools, coding assistants, and AI agents as part of your engineering and solution-development workflow.

• Ability to rapidly build credible customer-facing prototypes with AI assistance while recognizing limitations, validating generated code, and applying independent technical judgment where required.

• Strong architectural thinking and the ability to balance technical feasibility, business value, scalability, investment priorities, and competitive considerations.

• Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and cross-functional leadership skills.

• A strategic and commercially aware mindset, combined with strong technical credibility and the ability to operate effectively in complex enterprise environments.

• Ability to mentor others, share technical knowledge, establish best practices, and contribute to the development of a high-performing solutions architecture community.
