About the role
Are you a QA Engineer looking to make a splash in the fintech world? Avarda Bank is on the lookout for a talented QA Engineer to strengthen our credit card development team!
Picture a distributed team responsible for development of both internal and customer facing systems for multiple European countries. The team spirit is high and jokes and gifs are mandatory.
As a QA Engineer with us, you'll be the guardian of quality, ensuring that our software meets business requirements and banking standards. You will be an integral part of our collaborative team, working hand-in-hand with developers, team leads, business analysts and delivery managers to drive innovation at every stage of the software development life cycle.
We're looking for someone with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for teamwork. Your mission? To keep our developers on their toes, uncovering defects they never even knew existed.
Key Responsibilities
- Close cooperation with business, business analysts and developers to understand requirements
- Plan test activities both for functional and non-functional requirements
- Conduct various types of testing such as functional, regression, performance and security
- Support in user acceptance testing
- Cooperate with developers on defects and improvements
- Create and execute test cases to identify defects, ensuring that the final product is reliable, user-friendly, and meets the specified requirements
- Execute test cases manually or using automated testing tools to identify and report defects
- Write and maintain test documentation
- Log and track defects
- Verify bug fixes
Qualifications and Experience
- 3+ years' experience as a QA Engineer, working across unit, integration, and performance testing
- Proven hands-on experience testing REST APIs with Postman and building automated regression suites with Selenium in C#, covering both backend and frontend
- Working knowledge of Azure DevOps and MSSQL, comfortable querying and validating data directly
- Strong grounding in the software development lifecycle and Agile practices, gained through close day-to-day collaboration with developers and business analysts
- Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills, with the attention to detail that financial-grade software demands
- A confident communicator, equally comfortable flagging technical issues to developers and explaining them to business stakeholders
- BSc or MSc in Computer Science or a related field
- Proficient English (B1/B2 or above)
