Full description

Experience: 5–8 years Employment Type: Full-time

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to design and build a secure, scalable, production-ready GCP environment from the ground up. This role goes beyond CI/CD pipelines—the engineer will own cloud foundations, infrastructure, networking, security, automation, observability, and operational readiness.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement GCP environments and landing zones from scratch.
  • Build multi-project and multi-environment architectures for development, testing, staging, and production.
  • Configure VPCs, subnets, routing, firewalls, load balancers, DNS, VPN, and private connectivity.
  • Establish IAM, service accounts, secrets management, encryption, security controls, and governance policies.
  • Provision infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code best practices.
  • Deploy and operate GKE, Compute Engine, Cloud Run, storage, and managed database services.
  • Build CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Argo CD.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, dashboards, and incident-response processes.
  • Design backup, disaster recovery, high availability, and business-continuity solutions.
  • Optimize cloud performance, reliability, and cost.
  • Create technical documentation, operational runbooks, and architecture diagrams.

Qualifications

  • 5–8 years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or platform engineering.
  • Strong hands-on experience designing and building production environments on GCP.
  • Proficiency with Terraform, Git, Linux, and scripting using Python, Bash, or similar.
  • Experience with Kubernetes/GKE, Docker, and containerized workloads.
  • Strong understanding of cloud networking, IAM, security, and governance.
  • Experience implementing monitoring and logging with Google Cloud Operations Suite or comparable tools.
  • Good knowledge of CI/CD, GitOps, SRE practices, and production operations.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred: Google Cloud certification and experience migrating workloads to GCP.
