Act as an L3 escalation point for complex DNS incidents and perform deep troubleshooting of BIND. Lead root cause analysis for major incidents and provide expert support for authoritative and recursive DNS infrastructures.

Must Have Skills: 5+ years of experience in DNS operations/support, with at least 2–3 years at L3 level
Strong hands‑on experience with BIND (open‑source DNS)
Deep understanding of:
· DNS protocol internals
· Authoritative vs Recursive DNS
· TTL, caching behavior, and query resolution flow
Strong Linux/Unix system administration experience
Strong networking fundamentals:
· TCP/IP, UDP
· Latency and routing behavior
Nice to Have Skills: Experience with Anycast DNS deployments
Exposure to other DNS software: Unbound, PowerDNS, Knot DNS
Automation and scripting (Shell, Python, Ansible)
Monitoring tools:
- Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios,
Zabbix
ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management experience)

Top 3 responsibilities you would expect the Subcon to shoulder and execute Act as L3 escalation point for complex DNS incidents impacting production services
Diagnose and resolve critical DNS outages, performance degradation, and security issues
Provide expert support for authoritative and recursive DNS infrastructures
Work closely with L1/L2 teams, NOC, and Core Network teams to restore services quickly
Deep troubleshooting of BIND
Perform DNS protocol‑level analysis
Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for major incidents
