JOB OVERVIEW
The MRO Project Manager is responsible for overall project management practices and reporting across the MRO; for new customer and aircraft type implementations; work planning activities; and integration management of large, multi-disciplinary projects that may touch heavy maintenance, modifications, engineering, shops & manufacturing, and supply chain.
REPORTING DETAILS
Reports to: Director of Maintenance
Dotted Line Reporting: Director of Engineering
Works in co-operation with: Hangar Operations & Department Managers
Direct Reports: Senior PM, Planning Lead
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the DOM and DOE with professional project management practices and discipline
- Manage MRO project planning process from Business Development contract release to aircraft induction/aircraft completion; or from concept thru execution and delivery for complex mod programs.
- Directly manage large, inter-disciplinary, and complex aviation projects
- Interact effectively with Business Development, Engineering, Shops & Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Maintenance leaders
- Develop and maintain PM practices, project documentation, KPI’s, and reporting
- Drive project schedules and timelines to meet customer needs and expectations
- Track and report project status (labour, parts, profitability) relative to the approved activities.
- Provide updates of ongoing projects to the DOM and DOE and others as directed
- Conduct qualitative risk management of projects.
- Identify, communicate and manage issues and risks to mitigate impacts to project.
- Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders
- Provide leadership and direction to direct reports, including providing performance feedback and completion of annual P3 reviews.
- Mentor and coach junior members of the team.
- This position is expected to be 100% onsite as regular interaction with maintenance leadership is essential.
- Travel to other site locations is required.
REQUIREMENTS

- Ability to work effectively with deadlines while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
- Proficient computer skills: MS Excel, MS Office, MS SharePoint, & PM Software (ie Smart Sheets or MS Project).
Education and Experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is preferred
- Minimum 10 + years of practical PM experience in large scale, multi-discipline, multi-location environment
- Project Management experience in Construction or Aerospace related environment is considered an asset.

SALARY
The wage band is KF level 15 $109,000 to $143,000 annually. The expertise and technical skill level of the candidate is assessed during the selection process for placement within the band. Note: The salary range maximum signifies full job knowledge.
