Job Summary
Synechron is seeking a Business Analyst – Technical (VisionPLUS) for its Gurgaon, work-from-office team. The role requires 5+ years of Business Analyst experience, with hands-on expertise in VisionPLUS applications and a strong understanding of the cards and payments domain. The successful candidate will gather and translate business requirements into functional solutions, support VisionPLUS and related payment systems, and coordinate delivery across business, development, testing, UAT, and production support teams. This role contributes to business objectives by enabling accurate requirements, effective system enhancements, reliable integrations, and timely delivery of payment-related solutions.
Software Requirements (Required and Preferred)
Required
- VisionPLUS: Hands-on experience with CMS, FAS, TRAMS, VMX, or related VisionPLUS modules; experience with the version currently implemented within the assigned environment.
- SQL: Working knowledge of SQL for data analysis, validation, investigation, and requirements support.
- Business Analysis and Documentation Tools: Experience preparing BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process flows, functional specifications, acceptance criteria, and requirements traceability records.
- Defect and Test Management Tools: Experience coordinating UAT, recording and tracking defects, validating fixes, and supporting test execution.
- SDLC and Agile Delivery Tools: Experience working with tools and processes for requirements management, sprint planning, backlog tracking, delivery coordination, and status reporting.
- Data Analysis Tools: Ability to use approved query, reporting, spreadsheet, or data analysis tools to investigate business and system information.
Preferred
- API Integration Tools: Exposure to API documentation, request and response analysis, integration testing, and payment system interfaces.
- Digital Payment Platforms: Experience analyzing requirements related to digital payments or related payment channels.
- Process Modeling Tools: Experience creating process flows, functional diagrams, data flows, or system interaction diagrams.

Overall Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, validate, and document business and functional requirements for VisionPLUS applications and related payment systems.
- Work with business stakeholders, development teams, testing teams, and other delivery participants to clarify requirements and resolve functional questions.
- Analyze VisionPLUS applications and relevant modules, including CMS, FAS, TRAMS, VMX, or related components, to support enhancements, integrations, and system upgrades.
- Prepare and maintain BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process flows, functional specifications, acceptance criteria, and requirements traceability documentation.
- Conduct gap analysis and assess the impact of proposed changes on business processes, systems, data, integrations, and downstream activities.
- Translate business needs into clear, testable, and implementation-ready functional requirements.
- Support solution discussions by explaining business processes, data requirements, system behavior, dependencies, and expected outcomes.
- Coordinate UAT activities, including test planning support, scenario preparation, stakeholder coordination, defect triage, retesting, and sign-off tracking.
- Support defect management by analyzing reported issues, clarifying expected behavior, coordinating with technical teams, and validating resolutions.
- Provide functional support for production incidents and assist with impact analysis, root-cause investigation, communication, and resolution validation.
- Ensure successful delivery of enhancements, integrations, and system upgrades within agreed scope, timelines, quality standards, and governance controls.
- Maintain accurate documentation and consider efficient use of systems, data, and processing resources when defining or improving solutions.

Day-to-Day Activities
- Gather and analyze requirements, conduct gap assessments, review VisionPLUS functionality, and prepare BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process flows, and functional specifications.
- Participate in meetings with business stakeholders, development teams, testing teams, and delivery participants to clarify requirements, review solutions, and manage dependencies.
- Coordinate UAT activities, support defect triage and retesting, validate delivered changes, and contribute to enhancement, integration, upgrade, and production support deliverables.
- Make functional recommendations within agreed scope and standards, document decisions and risks, and escalate issues that may affect quality, timelines, system behavior, or business outcomes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analysis, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant professional experience may be considered.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business analysis, including hands-on VisionPLUS experience and work in the cards and payments domain.
- Relevant training in VisionPLUS, business analysis, requirements engineering, SQL, Agile delivery, testing, or payment systems is preferred.
- Certifications in business analysis, Agile delivery, payments, or related technology areas are preferred but not required unless mandated for a specific assignment.
- Commitment to continuous professional development through relevant training, product updates, industry learning, and evolving cards, payments, and technology practices.
