The Divison

The Racing Division is committed to managing all aspects of Hong Kong’s world-class sport of horse racing, covering the full value chain — from importation and training to racedays, equestrian, welfare, integrity, and international engagement. With Conghua Racecourse and Greater Bay Area expansion, we’re shaping racing into a dynamic sporting, social, and entertainment experience.

Job Summary

The post holder reports directly to the Equestrian Affairs Project Manager. He / she is responsible for the set-up, operation and delivery of the Equine-Themed Values Education Programme from December 2026 to July 2030. This new programme is a Charities Trust funded initiative to provide values education based around horses and ponies, working with a local NGO to deliver the programme to schools in Hong Kong.

The post holder will be based in Sha Tin Central Complex at Sha Tin Racecourse. The role will require frequent travelling to other riding schools, Happy Valley, Shatin and various locations for school visits and meetings.

The Job

• Lead and oversee the end-to-end planning, implementation and evaluation of the Equine-Themed Values Education Programme, ensuring delivery of programme objectives, timelines, budgets and agreed impact targets.

• Serve as the Club’s primary liaison and manage relationships with programme partners (e.g. the Design and Cultural Studies Workshop (“CnC”), the Club’s partner NGO), schools, and other relevant community stakeholders (e.g. the Equestrian Federation of Hong Kong, China), collaborating to ensure the smooth operation of the programme

• Coordinate cross-functional support from internal departments and the Club’s equestrian facilities to ensure the effective provision of programme resources, logistics, venue arrangements, staffing and operational support

• Working with representatives from the Club’s riding schools and equestrian facilities, design and develop a stable visit itinerary to be delivered to project beneficiaries specific to each facility. Oversee the planning and implementation of stable visit experiences, equine interaction activities and related experiential learning programmes, ensuring high standards of participant experience, horse welfare and operational safety

• Provide school-based curriculum development support with regard to equestrian sports and equine-themed education to the Design and Cultural Studies Workshop. Work with internal colleagues to provide technical equestrian expertise and input where necessary

• Working with the Design and Cultural Studies Workshop, monitor the delivery of school-based equine-themed values education initiatives to ensure educational quality and alignment with programme outcomes

• Collaborate with the Design and Cultural Studies Workshop to lead the planning and delivery of equestrian elements at annual community outreach initiatives to enhance public awareness of equestrian sports and horse culture, including but not limited to mini pony photo-taking, equestrian ambassador sharing sessions, and the organisation of any related arrangements such as licensing

• Work with the Design and Cultural Studies Workshop to announce and promote the Programme at the 2027 Longines HK International Horse Show

• Monitor programme budgets and funding utilisation, completing procurement processes and financial reporting, ensuring effective stewardship of resources and compliance with organisational policies and governance requirements. Work with Finance to prepare forecasts and complete regular project reports to secure funding reimbursements for project spend

• Monitor programme performance through established metrics and evaluation frameworks, analyse outcomes and prepare regular management reports, impact assessments and recommendations for continuous improvement

• Build and maintain strong working relationships with programme partners, schools, government bodies, community organisations, equestrian ambassadors and other key stakeholders to strengthen programme effectiveness and long-term sustainability

• Collect feedback from project beneficiaries and provide guidance to project staff, contractors and service providers involved in programme delivery

• Support the development of future equestrian education and community engagement initiatives by identifying opportunities for programme enhancement, scaling and strategic partnership development

• Undertake any other duties as reasonably directed by senior management.

About You

• Tertiary education

• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in operations, administration and/or secretarial support, preferably in sizable organizations

• Project management and coordination skills essential

• Budget control and marketing knowledge required

• Equestrian knowledge or experience a distinct advantage

• Educational / curriculum development experience an advantage
