Your Role

As a Software Engineer / DevOps professional with Capgemini, you will support the development, integration, testing, and deployment of digital solutions. You will work with REST/JSON APIs, Git-based workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and test automation while collaborating with engineering and delivery teams.

In this role you will:

• Support the development and maintenance of software components and integrations.

• Consume, test, and troubleshoot REST APIs and JSON payloads.

• Use Git for version control, branching, reviews, and collaborative development.

• Assist with the configuration, execution, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines.

• Contribute to automated testing for APIs, applications, or deployment workflows.

• Investigate defects, document findings, and support resolution with senior colleagues.

• Monitor pipeline and application results and escalate failures appropriately.

• Maintain technical notes, runbooks, and configuration documentation.

• Track engineering tasks, defects, and delivery activities in Jira.

• Follow secure development, code-quality, and operational best practices.

Your Profile

• Entry-level to junior experience in software engineering, DevOps, automation, or a related technical area.

• Understanding of REST principles, HTTP methods, status codes, and JSON data structures.

• Practical knowledge of Git and collaborative source-control workflows.

• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and at least one pipeline environment or tool.

• Some exposure to test automation, automated API testing, or scripting.

• Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile delivery.

• Experience using Jira or a comparable issue-tracking tool.

• Logical problem-solving skills and willingness to investigate technical issues.

• Ability to learn quickly, accept feedback, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

• Good written and spoken English.

Nice to have

• Basic scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

• Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms.

• Familiarity with API-testing tools or testing frameworks.

• Awareness of monitoring, logging, and DevSecOps practices.
