This role reports to the Global Associate Director within the Secure Access / Office Technology team. Secure Access manages a portfolio of in‑office technologies including physical access, mobile credentials, secure print and scan, and digital lockers. These services ensure EY people can securely access buildings, devices, and equipment with minimal friction, while meeting global security and compliance standards.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced, highly skilled, and detail-oriented Application and SQL Database Support Engineer to join the EY Secure Access team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and maintaining Secure Access solutions, ensuring service stability and operational efficiency. The role requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders, support teams, and external vendors. The candidate should be willing to work in rotational shifts.

As part of a team of highly skilled and professional engineers, you will operate within a complex global environment, collaborating with other technical teams on ongoing projects and delivered services. The role requires the ability to work effectively in a technically challenging environment while understanding, following, and continuously improving workflows and processes.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Over 5+ years of relevant experience of working in an enterprise environment.

• Develop and maintain ETL processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).

• Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and manipulation.

• Create and manage batch scripts and PowerShell scripts for automation tasks.

• Utilize SQL Server Management Studio for database management and performance tuning.

• Design and develop reports using Power BI Report Builder to meet business requirements.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver data solutions.

• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in a timely manner.

• Document processes and maintain data quality standards.

• Monitor, log, and prioritize incidents based on severity and business requirements.

• Perform application deployment and configuration in server environments.

• Collaborate with stakeholders and vendors to ensure system reliability, accuracy, and performance.

Knowledge and skills Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Proven experience in SQL and database management.

• Strong knowledge of SSIS for data integration.

• Proficiency in batch scripting and PowerShell.

• Familiarity with SQL Server Management Studio and Visual Studio.

• Experience with Power Bi Report Builder for report development.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

• Experience with cloud-based data solutions (e.g., Azure, AWS) (Optional)

• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices (Optional)

• Demonstrated ability to work credibly with senior stakeholders up to Partnership level

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences

• Comfortable operating in global, matrixed organizations across multiple cultures and time zones

• Experience managing vendors, contracts, and externally delivered services

• Passion for improving user experience while balancing security, compliance, and operational realities
