What You’ll Do:

  • Leverage a variety of data sources and partner with the Store Operations department to perform complex data and trend analysis; analyses support leadership in making informed, timely decisions regarding store activities (e.g. payroll, discretionary expenses).
  • Prepare payroll budgets, Rolling Plan, and Original Plan demonstrating an in-depth understanding of business trends and impacts; collaborates with multiple business units to ensure all store attributes and assumptions are incorporated.
  • Act as trusted advisor to business partners by providing financial support for workforce efficiency projects via manipulating (and/or developing) payroll models and finding new ways to enhance forecast accuracy.
  • Prepare and present payroll reporting to senior leaders across Store Operations and Finance departments.
  • Lead the Store Operations capital budgeting, monthly forecasting, and reporting.
  • Develop complex business models and conduct ad hoc analysis to facilitate decision-making for short and long term strategy.

About You:

  • A minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in financial planning, reporting and analysis; financial experience in a retail industry is an asset.
  • Post-secondary education in related field (e.g. Business Administration, Mathematics/Statistics, Finance/Accounting); a related professional designation (i.e. CPA or MBA) is considered an asset.
  • Excellent knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), cost accounting, and retail operations.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills including analysis of information, research, and knowledge of database design/data manipulation concepts
  • Strong organizational skills including change management, time management, the ability to prioritize and multi-task with limited supervision and under time pressure.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, accurately estimate time required to complete deliverables, and keep appropriate people informed of progress.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; able to develop collaborative relationships with team, internal, and external partners and effectively resolve conflicts that may arise.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills (spreadsheet and data manipulation) and knowledge of accounting software; previous experience utilizing data analytics and budgeting tools (e.g. TM1, Hyperion, Anaplan, Alteryx, Power Bi) is considered an asset.
  • Genuine interest in continuous learning and development; excited to take on new challenges and volunteer for ad-hoc projects.

Salary Range: $76,620 - $107,268 /year*

  • *This represents the expected hiring range and is dependent on several factors such as relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
