POSITION SUMMARY

The Financial Analyst will support the day-to-day financial activities of the organization, including budgeting, financial analysis, and internal and external financial reporting. The role will assist in maintaining accurate financial information, analyzing financial performance, and providing insights to support business and financial decisions.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assist with reporting financial results and budgets to Group HQ.
  • Assisting with month-end close entries and activities such as daily journal entries, tracking all accruals and assisting with month-end close entries and activities.
  • Performing inventory analysis and procurement orders. Calculating rate of sales, inventory turns and identifying slow moving inventory.
  • Assist with business analysis with various areas of the business including sales trends, product performance, costs, gross margins, inventory, etc. and generate/update reports related to these topics and other business analysis reports.
  • Assist with forecasting as well as annual budgeting process.
  • Assist with any accounting/finance reports.
  • Develops and implements financial accounting policies and procedures.
  • Process accounts payable.
  • Pay invoices and maintain general ledger.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Understanding of GAAP accounting principles.
  • Microsoft Office basic Word, Power Point and expert in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to understand the full cycle of accounting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in entering financial data.
  • Deadline-driven with excellent time management ability.
  • SAP knowledge is a plus.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years in Accounting (full-cycle) and/or Financial Analyst.
  • Minimum 2-year college degree. B.A. in Finance, Accounting or Economics.
  • Management experience required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
