Role profile:

CDSClear is responsible for clearing Credit Default Swaps for the members and clients currently registered for the service with LCH. The Service is one of the fastest growing streams in the LCH business lines and is looking to build on recent successes to further increase market share.

The CDSClear IT team develops, tests and supports the technology for the CDSClear service.  The systems enable CDSClear to complete overnight margin calculations for members, novate intraday trades, run trade simulation requests and provide reports to members and regulators.

We are looking for an experienced Senior QA Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will become a key driver of our test design methodology and the strategic gatekeeper of release quality. You will take full ownership of the functional, user acceptance and non-regression testing as well as collaborating in non-functional requirements preparation and testing; perform deep requirement audits and systematic gap analysis to eliminate testing blind spots. The successful candidate will play a critical role in knowledge transfer, working closely with business stakeholders (Risks and Operations) to extract complex business rules and design high-quality, structured test scenarios that will feed into our core test automation initiatives.

ROLE SUMMARY:

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Work closely with Business Analysts, Development, Risks, and Operations teams to dissect complex functional specifications and build a comprehensive, hierarchical non-regression test repository for the CDSClear clearing platform.
  • Lead the strategy for requirements traceability, performing systematic gap analysis to eliminate testing blind spots and identify high-risk functional zones.
  • Design structured, data-driven test scenarios for testing automation, take active participation in defining testing automation strategy, defining priorities and automation levels (unit/component/SIT).
  • Enforce QA standard methodologies across the team, applying the "Boy Scout Rule" to continually refine, clean, and enrich the existing regression scope.
  • Ensure accurate, detailed recording and reporting of test results in the Test Management System, translating execution data into risk-based quality metrics for senior stakeholders.
  • Log descriptive defects with clear structural workflows, data states, and logs to ensure rapid issue recreation and resolution by development teams.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

Essential:

  • Proven ability to analyse complex business requirements, clearing workflows, and system specifications to define both day-to-day transaction flows and hidden edge cases.
  • Proven test design skills with deep expertise in boundary analysis, state transitions, and risk-based test scoping (turning volume-heavy cycle checks into high-impact functional suites).
  • Strong SQL skills suitable for querying extensive Oracle databases, verifying financial data consistency, and auditing report tables.
  • A proactive, confident communicator who can independently engage with a wide range of business stakeholders (Risks/Ops), challenge ambiguities, and drive knowledge transfer.
  • Strong verbal and written English skills to collaborate effectively across cross-functional internal teams.

Preferred:

  • Deep credit derivatives knowledge relevant to trade lifecycles, clearing workflows, and risk management (specific knowledge of CDS products is a massive plus).
  • Hands-on experience with scripting/programming languages and tools (Python/Java, GitLab).
  • Conceptual understanding of Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD)/Data Driven Testing (DDT) and automated framework architectures (ability to read test logs, understand Allure reports, and collaborate effectively with the SDET engineering team).

WHAT YOU’LL GET IN RETURN:

We are looking for intellectually curious people, passionate about the bigger picture of how technology industry is evolving, ready to ask difficult questions and deal with complicated scenarios! If you are creative and a problem solver, this is the place to be as will be supporting you to fast-forward your career!

We maximise each employee’s potential through personal development through a wide range of learning tools both formal and informal. We believe in remunerating our people with competitive salaries and a range of attractive benefits such as:
