Founded in 1884, The Hong Kong Jockey Club (“the Club”) is a world-class racing club that acts continuously for the betterment of our society. The Job
- Engage with business stakeholders, downstream application teams, and product owners to understand business objectives, analytical requirements, and data integration needs.
- Translate business questions and system requirements into analytical approaches, data requirements, SQL queries, and data interface specifications.
- Perform data profiling and data discovery on large and complex datasets to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and actionable insights.
- Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualisation tools.
- Define, validate, and document business KPIs, metrics, business rules, and source-to-target mappings.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers and system developers to align data contracts and interface requirements, including file/message formats, delivery frequency, throughput expectations, reconciliation, acknowledgements, and error handling.
- Communicate analytical findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
About you
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in data analytics, business intelligence, business analysis, or related disciplines.
- Strong SQL skills with experience querying and analysing large and complex datasets.
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into analytical solutions and actionable insights.
- Strong understanding of data models, business metrics, data lineage, and data quality principles.
- Hands-on experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Experience working with both business and technical stakeholders to define data requirements, data contracts, and cross-system data flows.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
- Excellent business acumen and the ability to understand business processes, customer behaviour, and operational performance drivers.
- Experience in gaming, entertainment, loyalty, customer analytics, or related industries.
- Experience analysing customer behaviour, transaction patterns, customer segmentation, campaign effectiveness, and customer value metrics.
- Knowledge of cloud analytics platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Familiarity with PySpark, Python, Spark SQL, or automation frameworks.
- Understanding of modern analytics platforms and data governance practices.
- Experience with APIs, file-based interfaces, or event-driven integrations (e.g., Kafka, Solace).
- Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related discipline.
- Certifications in Power BI, Tableau, or related analytics technologies.
